Spain is really popular but you’ll probably get you the biggest bang for your buck with more tourist friendly amenities then Greece, even though Greece might be cheaper but it’s less tourist friendly

if most of west Europe is so small it can be put into a state(not even the same country just one of 50 states) is it really considered travel? going fro elpaso Texas to Houston texas is like London to Vienna distance wise one is considered "traveled" the other isn't
The point of travelling isn’t racking up distances but seeing different peoples, languages and sights. That’s what you’d get around Europe because your hopping around to different countries with different cultures and even weather.

Hope that makes sense!

Portugal, saxiib, you'll love it. Go there once a year with the missus. I'd recommend anywhere in the South, as its more tolerant there. Northerners, are somewhat racist.

So no Porto. Lisbon or Faro, which one is your favourite

Portugal.

Italy is hot trash, and Greece is a sewer dump.

If you do go to Italy - visit the Islands in the Ligurian sea, such as Elba. Or the northeast of the country, in Veneto and Trieste. Rent a airbnb in rural Veneto, and vacation in the forests and go joyriding all the way to the adriatic. Milan and central Italy is trashy.

In Portugal, spend as little time in Lisbon, I would vouch for Porto and the northern region. The islands are boring.

Spain's Andalusia and Catalonia regions are the most fun parts of Spain outside of the scenery of the old forests and mountians in Cantabria and Basque country.

West Europe is overrated. Croatia, west Ukraine, Georgia and the Baltic States have great and cheap holiday destination.

For the millionth time, going from Netherlands to Portugal is not the same as going from Houston to Dallas. Jeez
I think @Tukraq is not taking into consideration how different these countries are, people, culture and food wise. He’s only thinking about the distance lol

Your example was Dallas and Houston which are basically the same, I agree west coast and southern states have some differences but I would still say Portuguese and the Dutch have way more difference in culture, language, food and people. It’s not really comparable.
