I beleive that 'feminism' as far as the works of Simone De Beauvour etc is inherently anti Islamic and goes against the quran/sunnah. therefore if you believe in feminism in its totality, you cant be a Muslim. Their is a difference between 'womens right' and 'feminism' and even then we would need to look into what both those terms really mean.

The only way in which it could work is if you say 'Islam is my framework and wherever feminism fits in that framework, i will take it'.

Feminism is anti family and traditional islamic values.. Feminism is the cause of degeneracy in the society it has nothing to do with women rights it's a concept designed to destroy women and turn them into s and single mothers of out of wedlock kids. No wonder the ideologi has been spread like wildfire in minority communities its to destroy their good traditional values and healthy halal relationships. Lgbtq is another degeneracy designed to destroy minority communities as well.

By definition, everyone is a feminist. But modern day 'feminism' is a mental illness
Yes by definition we believe men and women are equal in the eyes of Allah but doesnt mean we are the same

You need people like me
Yes by definition we believe men and women are equal in the eyes of Allah but doesnt mean we are the same
That was my point. Feminism today is insanity and it's all about making money for those who write 'feminist' books/blogs . If it were about true equality for women, then domestic violence/FGM/Education for girls etc. is what they would spend their time campaigning for, rather than men and women competing against each other in combat sports lol

Simone De Beauvour didn't describe herself as a feminist and feminists were very critical of her. You clearly don't know what you are talking about. Stick to we wuz arabs and sheit.

Their is no holy book on feminism sxb, so we take it from the works of many feminist thinkers and yes Beauvior described herself as a feminist. It seems to me that you are willfully ignorant on the subject matter and are trying to use this 'we wuz arabs' meme as a COPE.

Imagine coming on Somalispot and calling the mother of feminism not 'feminist'. Low Iq somalispotters never cease to amaze me :icon lol:

I don't know I think you should familiarize yourself with someone's work before you use her as a primary example of a feminist. If we used the basic definition of a feminist, someone who believes in equal opportunity for both sexes, then yes go ahead she was a feminist along with most people. But claiming her work was based on feminist is simply stupid when she argued everyone should pursue the life they want, both men and women. She believed it was wrong to go after the same rights as men, when those rights were not great themselves. You are dangerously stupid for describing her as the mother of feminism when she was just a philosopher who spoke about many different topics. Go and google Betty Friedan, which is the person who you are looking for.

You claimed she didnt describe herself as a feminist :icon lol::icon lol:

Do you recant that claim?

What's feminism to you?

It's a very broad church and they all take a critical lens over many issues that affect the lives of women, whether this is abortion, the family or work. I would describe myself as being in the middle, I believe a woman should be free to make her own choices without being coerced. What I don't like is when feminism bleeds into activism for men be it transgender or other things. I also hate when white women compare their troubles to how Black people are treated in America.

A woman so dedicated to her philosophy(feminism), that she didnt choose to get married, have kids and remained in an open relationship with a man isnt a feminist according to our resident intellectual Afrique. A woman who is literally an icon of feminism and one of the greatest if not greatest contributors of feminist works isnt a feminist :icon lol: :icon lol: :icon lol: :icon lol:

Islam teaches us to love and respect people, you have to be the best person that you can be. I don't know what ur definition of feminism is but mine is to respect women just like u respect ur mom/sisters, support ur daughters and allow them to achieve their dreams so on. :)
