When I say glorify I mean talk about it excessively, if you went by how often it’s is talked about you would this more than half of Somali marry out when in fact it’s a small fraction.I've never seen anyone glorify marrying out, if anything it's very taboo in my family at least. I had a cousin marrying an ajnabi mind you this was my first cousin and my mother didn't even tell us. They tried to hide it from the whole family.

There are multiple somalis who have almost half a million followers on tiktok, only because they married an ajnabi and parade their partner. Why can’t anybody see the cringiness in that. Funny part is they wouldn’t have that many followers if they were mådow.

While the situation of this girl is deplorable, What can you expect when the fobs have nothing to idle their time with but social media and turkish dramas. The problem is the Somali Population do not have the stability and safety required to allow for a thriving media industry. If one wanted to start producing films, music, art and television that would help uplift the youth and provide them with a sense of pride how long would it be before the Alshabab threaten to blow it up or the uncivilised land grabbing filth come and steal all your investments? The best solution is the eradication of cadaanwashed, madowashed and dhegacasswashed Somalis by the upkeep of our xenophobic attitude. I call for the Somali Renassaince movement and the end to the supression of our poetry, music and cultural clothing by foreign influences and uncultured odeys.
If a Somali woman wasn't raised right by her parents and wants to get her milk from an aging Otter, then let her its none of my business. I am comfortable in the beauty of the Somali race and my only duty is to make sure that when Somalia rises the mongrel children will not try and steal our power, hence we end up as Madows with halfies as our celibrities and leaders. We don't want Zendayas or Obamas, We want Farahs and halimos! Those who advocate for us to be less proud don't know somali history and if they were in charge hundreds of years ago they would have made us like the Sudanese! Im not saying somali fathers should have control over the girls, just that they should not make their girls resent them. I blame wahhabism because it promotes an obsession with living the same as people 1400 years ago disregarding the way our current economy functions. Having more than one wife does not work well in this day and age. Instead of focusing energy on one wife and one set of kids, aiming to spend all the household income on one household, All the children grow up poorer and have less access to opportunities. Instead of providing tuition and extra classes and more father bonding time. The money is spent on the rent and bills of a second wife, sometimes in other countries where they have access to maids something a lot of first wifes in the west don't have.
You end up with girls that hate what their mother went through and associate negativity with Somali men and jilted women talking about their divorce stories on youtube. For the men they feel they are entitled to more than one woman just like dad and as zina is haram, they start to treat marriage less like an institution to raise a family and more like a sex contract. They care less about the needs of their wifes and think its appropriate to have families thousands of miles away from eachother. Who is the father figure in the house when you are away? Can the mother cope on her own without becoming depressed? From what i've seen based on the countless gender wars on social media and the disparity between the educational achievements of both sexes I would say there is a problem in the Diaspora. I would say the idealogy is promoting the oppression of women and the destruction of healthy family units. It also leads to half siblings that end up hating each other based on the stories told by each ones bitter mothers.
Absolutely nothing you wrote has anything to do with wahabism or the pathetic state of the Somali community. This Salafi/"Wahabi" slander is just another fat cope completely detached from the reality on the ground.
Gender wars are a symptom of community dysfunction, poverty and liberalism. Somalis suffer from all 3 and therefore have the worst inter-gender issues.
