Abdisalam Yusuf Guled, the founder of Eagle Range Services, a security company in Mogadishu, and former Somalia’s deputy chief of the National Security Agency, is among those who voiced concern.

"I have a great concern that Somalia could be another Afghanistan if the African Union troops leave the country, without Somalia getting strong and well-armed security forces that have international funding and backing similar to that for ATMIS," Guled said.
--------------------------------
Still undergoing reconstruction after repeated civil wars, and still subject to an arms embargo, Somalia is struggling to structure its armed forces. The extent of this is such that a number of Western and African commanders fear an "Afghan-style" scenario, with total state collapse in the event of the ATMIS departure. "This is obviously on everyone's mind," confirmed Omar Mahmood, a researcher with the International Crisis Group (ICG).
-------------------------------
Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh cites Afghanistan as a warning for Somalia. In a recent interview, the President commented on Somalia’s request regarding a three-month extension of the 2nd phase drawdown of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) troops and whether Djibouti supports this request.

Really copying and pasting random news articles now are we ? First of all when was this news articles written, and second of all these are all opinion pieces. There is no factual evidence this will come to fruition, AS are not as powerful as the Taliban. I could do the exact same thing and post news articles that state Somalia is “defeating AS”, that Somalia is “on the rise”.

if you want to make statement make sure you bring some factual evidence with you, random news articles don’t count buddy.

So we've gone from it being laughable to debatable. That's progress in my book. Soon you might come in contact with reality.
