FGS practically rules GM, HS and Lower Shebelle including Benedir state. The PM;s government is solid and parliament is in hiss pocket. Maybe Puntland and others should start paying tax to SFG if they want benefits. Only Mogadishu has been paying tax. Others need to start pulling their weight. Nothing is for free.

I kinda support this measure, FGS getting stronger financially means it can exert its authority into the states but the money shown there is not that much. Feel like HSM is testing waters with this one.

On the other hand, 90% is too much, should be more like 80-20% or 75-25% split.

IMF and World Bank always emphasize on cooperation between FGS & FMS, that's why there was an agreement in the 1st place, it's not like they gave it to FGS and let them do whatever they want with it, this dispute will most likely lead to cutting the budget support.

Yh IMF are pushing for FGS taxation across Somalia so I am sure there’s been some consultation before the Minister of Finance made this move

IMF won't concern itself with Puntland or Xebel land. It expects this to happen and it is ready to support SFG. PM Hamza's government is very strong. President HSM picked wisely by picking such a great PM.

It’s a lot of money for GM, total revenue for Galmudug is around 7 million and budget support was 6 million. This would see budget support down below 2 million.
