Of course most Somali men love their children, but their actions don't speak for it. Providing for your family isn't "somalinhimo" or anything special. It's the bare minimum and what is expected, both in society and islamically, yet Somali men can't even seem to do that. Too many times do I see marriages where the xalimo works too.

I'm not saying all Somali men are bad, a lot of them are caring fathers and upstanding citizens. But their seems to be this uprising trend of absent fatherhood, drug abuse and abuse in general in the Somali community that we NEED to address before it becomes a plague, we don't want abdi futo weyne to become tyrone.

We’re speaking as a whole. Not a individualistic matter. That’s like saying “black people are 13% of the population yet contribute to 50% of murders” and someone says “what about your family?”

I’ll be honest. Somali men are doing terrible in the west, I’m not going to sugarcoat the truth to you all. Somali men are killing each other all over the west. From Sweden to Canada to U.K. you guys cause trouble everywhere you go. I’m not going to blame all Somali men because Alhamduillah I know good ones ( rare) however I never see a Somali girl on the news for chucking a grenade in someone’s window. Or stabbing people in the street for no reason. Somali women are the backbone of our whole
Society, most Somali girls are at university and do very well compared to the men. Somali mothers are known to look after their 10 kids while her husband is no one to be seen! Even white People have asked the Somali mothers in my area where are the fathers? I hope the next generation is better because so far in the west some of you men have tarnished what was left of our reputation.

1. Killing each other
2. Stabbing each other in the street.

You make it sound like we are african americans with fatherless households when in reality I can bet that majority of somalis in the west has a father in their life. Its funny because I saw a thread on sspot asking if they had a father and all of them but 2 people had one, so where are these lies about fatherless households coming from???

Also youre obviously not going to see somali women in gangs because thats mostly a male thing, but that doesnt mean you are all some kind of angels. Theres so many personal experiences and anecdotes in your argument and you cant use them to prove a point, its so bs.
