Bruh everyone is suffering there no matter your ethnicity. A few rich people who built large hotels do not speak for everyone.
My cousin was telling me the other day, that many young people are leaving for Hargeysa where they can actually invest and create their own business. The somaliland bureaucracy is better than whatever we have in Djibouti. :lolbron:

Niggas struggle to have a single road without having a tribal war,

Unless you're Isaaq, you won't live in Isaaqland.

Djibouti (much more liberal and potential) > tribal poor land.

:chrisfreshhah: :chrisfreshhah: :chrisfreshhah:

Niggas need a whole village of size like to pay their rent (no currency)

you can give up on DJibouti,
if I were you,
I wouldn't invest a smelly tribal, without a currency.

Brother, most djiboutians can't afford hotels. Only richer djiboutians can afford it.
Your average djiboutians either lives in a house that was built for a cheaper price (the richer people get a beautiful house, but the poorest get a smaller house) and then you have people who live in ghettos in house built with object found on the streets.
If you manage to get a job at the government you get paid 1700$ per month.
However, most djiboutians can't get a job at the government so that's why you have 40% unemployment.
The private sector is almost non existent because of heavy restrictions, therefore there is no middle class. The country needs liberalization of the market.
Coule be part of his plan, Middle class means more freedoms for a populace. Keeping them poor and under the finger of the elite allows for more free reign.

Interesting Djibouti is growing in population it is small yet has a population 1/4 of Somaliland state of Somalia.

How is the education system in Djibouti? Maybe we can use them for development in Somalia.

Bro how are you Cisse Isaaq??? Is that a new clan? Whats your dads clan?

Dad's family (Rich Cisse and Isaaq boomers),

I only identify to my fellow Djiboutians.

:trumpsmirk:
Just remember if you are Isaaq you arent really Djiboutian. I have a feeling you are Isaaq, that's why you are overcompensating lol.

Your clan is your father's clan, you cant be Isaaq and Cisse you can only be one clan.

Technically, djiboutians have to actually pay taxes, plus the government gets a lot of money from foreign military bases so it can afford to pay for public services , road and infrastructure unlike the somaliland government that is now starting to do it, which is why when you go to Djibouti everything seems organized.
However, the private sector in somaliland is more liberal than the djiboutian private sector, because it's bureaucracy is better.
Even though, there is tribalism in somaliland, nobody is going to take your business from you or even deny service just because of your clan. It's not tribal as long as you don't go for politics.
But yeah, Djibouti has more potential in the long run, the Djibouti GDP is going to overtake the somali one this decade. :lolbron:

Djibouti has no clan.
Former Afar lands (in the north),

it's an immigration land

(nothing to "overcompensate" when you're from middle to upper class citizens)
I firmly love Djibouti, and many retards are ruining it (guess their ethnicity)

It's because when you nationalize every company, your family gets more money. But when it's completely liberal, then you have to compete with other people and sometimes your family members can lose.

Yeah, the natality rate in djibouti is just 2.7 child per woman which is much much lower than Somalia's 6 children per woman. But I would say that the population is too small for the country.
90% of the population lives in the capital, the rural area is incredibly empty.
Lebanon is smaller than Djibouti yet has 6 million people living in the country. The country isn't packed yet.

The education system is mostly secular, we don't have islamic course or anything.
But we copied our education from the french, thus we have things like Philosophy where we learn about Western ideas etc...
Public school is in french btw.

Djiboutis GDP is nowhere near Somalias. Do you mean GDP per capita?

Somalia is growing rapidly especially in Puntland, Somaliland and Benadir.

Djibouti's economy is growing with an average of 6.5% (with it's highest at 8.5% in 2018).
Meanwhile Somalia's economy is growing with an average of 2%. (with it's highest at 3.5% in 2015).

I'm not talking about gdp per capita, I'm talking about gdp.

That's impossible bro, i believe Somalia has a large informal GDP. How the hell can 1 million be more productive then 20 million??

Also what industries does Djibouti even rely on?

We have a huge port. 40% of maritime trafic goes through Djibouti, so we built a big port.
We have been upgrading it for the last 20 years, the World Bank even said that it was the best container port of Africa and 61st globally.

When the government says that it want to become the Singapore of Africa, you have to know that Singapore is also heavily reliant on it's port. (Even though I don't think that Djibouti will become like Singapore anytime soon).
The chinese also built a 3.5 billion dollar free trade zone but also a train that boosts trading with Ethiopia.
We are the only country that gives access to the sea to Ethiopia.

But if I were you I would trust those numbers, they come from IMF so it's super reliable.
World bank has the same statistics.

Kudos bro, don't forget Somalia is your second country. Make sure you dont forget about us when you become the singapore of Africa.

Djibouti is a hellhole/hell on earth and a place (GOD that place is hot!) that have been ruled by an uncle and his nephew is not going anywhere and when Berbera Port is fully operational and the Berbera Corridor is finished it's port income will fall dramatically.

If it can't get 42 percent of it's population out of extreme poverty now it will not be able to with competition from Somaliland.

The investment environment is bad:

And after this is implemented it will be game-over.

Eventually it will be our vassal state in the not so distant future.

Lasqoray used to be home to a fishing factory but now its a backwater town. Arabs from Yemen fled here and have already begun fishing buisnesses.

Arabs should transform the town, it's inhabitants have been idle for nearly 30 years.
mashallah this great for the economy of that city and would help to grow and one become an economic Somali hub city
