Any of y’all Been to Nairobi?

I’m getting my ass sent to Nairobi, I’m prolly gonna be there for like 5 years💀. Is there anything to look forward to there ?🤷🏾‍♂️. Or should I just convince my parents to not send me there?. I need to know how it’s like there from y'all's experience.

It’s not dhaqan celis tho. My parents want me to get a degree there. But if the living conditions are ass im not trynna go
I personally haven’t lived there but after a bit of acclimatising you should be able to live a good life. Depends on your area tho and how much your willing to socialise. Most of my friends who went there in their teens loved it after the initial shock they were getting shipped out of the U.K. Nairobi is very developed and you can find anything you want that you have in the West.

Idk I wouldn’t count it out. I’ve met many international students who have done their bachelor’s in their native country then came to Canada to do master degrees on full scholarships.

If your family cannot afford to pay tuition in the US, you most likely are eligible for student aid and could go to a state university with all tuition covered.

A degree from Kenya is useless. Native Kenyans are forced to migrate elsewhere because they are unable to find jobs in Kenya. A degree from Kenya may not be accepted by US employers.

By being an American citizen, you've been given an oppurinity millions in Kenya would sell a kidney for. Don't waste it.

it’s not that I can’t afford it but rather my parents don’t want me to go back to the US for now.

I can get a job I think if I get a good board score. My degree don’t matter as much as my board scores. My chances of getting employed in the us later on in life is around 70% depending on how well I do 🤷🏾‍♂️.

Waryaa if you are getting a bachelors degree only then you are better off doing it in the US. Use the federal student aid and make good decision like don’t live in campus dorms, start at a cheap college/university and transfer later to finish your degree. And whatever you do, don’t take a loan.

You don’t get the headache of trying of find a job with untrusted degree from Kenya
