An ideological warfare must be waged on Al Shabab beliefs after liberating Somalia from their occupation

No, but irrespective of their actions. So when Americans were invited to Saudi, there was a split that occurred because they believed that this went against the beliefs of MIAW.
The problem here is your are confusing people who claim to be Salafis with actual salafis. The poeple you are referring to (Salma al Awdah, Safar al Hawali, Aidh al Qarni etc) are ikhwanis in ideology, not salafi. They are followers of Sayid Qutb and his ideological descendents such as Muhammad Al Sarur and Abdulrahman Abdulkhaliq. That is why the Salafi scholars such as Sheikh Muhammad al Jami and Sheikh Rabi al Madkhali refuted them and their khariji ideology. That is why the condescendiongly call the salafis "madkhalis" or "jamis".

A lot of these fake claimants to Salafiyah were exposed when the Syrian war started and they started calling for revolution and calling it "jihad". But when the child of one of them took up their call and snuck from home to go to Syria for the so-called "jihad", he called the Saudi police and told them to stop his son at the border. Whereas the salafi scholar such as Sheikh fawzan called it a fitnah and advised the people to be patient (so much so ISIS said they would behead the sheikh).
