What do you do?![]()
If I saw your resume I would think you are crazy having a new job so frequently.
Bro, the key is finding a job that you LOVE. I love my job. I'm a keen sailor myself, i currently live in the coast. My job dont even feel like work to me.
Try to get into a industry that interests you.
I received the great news of my promotion to Operations Manager at the site of the sailing vessel manufacturing company, i work for. I was totally not expecting to get the job, i made the application on my break time, out of boredom.
In just four years, i went form a lowly plant operator, to then team leader (supervisor), to then department manager, and now in charge of all operations at the factory.
Alhamdulillah, such a great time in my life. Life was very different just mere months ago, when i had to file to bankruptcy in October last year, after a failed business venture, left me in serious trouble. Alhamdulillah, my mom had some savings of mine in safe keeping, around £45k to fall back on. That really helped me get out of trouble. I was honestly rock bottom. My wife was totally none the wiser about my bankruptcy.
That just goes to show, if you ever find yourself in a dark, tough times, never lose hope, keep the faith, have iman, stay strong, remain steadfast, and In Sha Allah, the days will become bright.

So you omit it from your resume?I work in the Fintech space sxb. Commodity trading to be exact.
I always omit the irrrelevant experiences, i just make sure i have a pretty damn good reason why i want to leave my current place and move elsewhere. Most companies barely probe you for background checks.
The key is to get a well paid job, make money and get the f*ck out. No title or flexibility on the job entices me. I was offered a Project Manager position once, but that's just more hours and more pressure. All my colleagues have hedge funds, properties and rich pensioner parents who bail them out so they're happy making peanuts. Being a working class person relying on a salary to pay bills isn't ideal. I couldn't even take holidays once because i was constantly swamped with work and i just wanted to get paid overtime. I literally couldn't afford to sit at home.
I enjoy travelling so i'm hoping to contract in the future, especially for advisory roles during M&A's.
The 9-5 grinding is all good but living another man's dream isn't my destiny.
