USA congratulated Taiwan when it recognized Somaliland.
USA might be thinking about building a base there, so they could maybe recognize it.

They would have recognised us decades ago if they were serious, is clear as day now that recogntition is a far fetched dream. Hence why im advocating for SL to dominate Somalia's politics and capitalise on its instability.

We could go into negotiations with a stronger hand and ask for the capital, military bases, main airport etc in return for full corporation in the fight against AS etc.

The thing is, the horn of africa is becoming more relevant.
With China building it's only base in Djibouti, Ethiopia becoming a major player in geopolitics and 40% of maritime traffic, even Russia is looking for a base there.
So the USA even if it doesn't recognize Somaliland, it might try to prepare some economic deals with Somaliland just like Taiwan. So that they keep the influence over there.
But yeah, at this point, the south didnt move since the 1990's maybe Somaliland should ask for capital transfer etc...
