only good governance can save us, we have the minerals and oil to transform Somalia into first world within a decade, someone like Xi of china can do that.

Problem with that is it will create hundreds of thousands of jobs. We will still need immigration. Becauase other areas will need workers too like farms businessess education healthcare military and more. Infact somalia would become like american and ethiopia mexico. They would literally walk across the border to find jobs. Furthermore the companies that will drill for these natural resources will always seek to lobby the gov for immigration reforms so that they can get cheap labour. Our future gov would have to only allow natural resources exploration in accordance with population size first rather than for economic reasons. Furthermore we would have to have a north and south korea dmz border with ethiopia thats deeply hostile and filled with mines and heavy artillery and thousands of soldiers. We would have a few borders where we actively ensure trucks carrying goods carry just that. Our gov should selectively pick immigrants from stable nations as they are more likely go back. Furthermore we should build small settlements for those immigrants and limit their contact with us natives.
