It depends some of them identify as arab because their tribe is arab (they also tend to have arab admixture and j1 as haplogroup). If we only focus on genetics then even syrians or lebaneses aren't arabs.

J1 and j2 are the haplogroup groups it's half snd half. 11% gulf arab but stil arab.. levantine arab. As for berbers they are almost not arab at all.

Haplogroup j2 basically doesn't exist in the arab world. It's mainly found in georgians ,Armenians , Turkmenistan people etc... If Syrian'S haplogroup j2 counts then Somalia's haplogroup j1 should count. Which means Somalis are arab!!

Its 30%-40% for haplogroup j2 on the coast
And 30%-60% J2 on the coast. Which is pretty much half and half like i said. Italy is only 2%-10% J1 probably only 2%. That's nots not even a quarter of their population.
