Libya has arms embargo, yet that doesn't deter Turkey to send troops. This shows you that Turkey doesn't have any faith in Somalia nor takes it seriously. Sending troops triumphs anything they've been doing since 2011in Xamar.

Somalia or should I say south Somalia is an amisom/project.. I think the Turks know this.. Beside there are no sincere politicians or government to work with, so naturally they won't spend millions or billions on a failed project like Somalia.

Turkey isn’t stupid they know if they send soldiers to southern Somalia there would be immense casualties. There is no credible partner on the ground like there is in Libya. Southern Somalia isn’t even at the stage to have UN peacekeepers which is planned after Amisom withdraws (which will never happen). The Turks also have actual strategic interests in Libya unlike Somalia with the oil exploration in the Mediterranean.

Turkey will be humiliated in Libya. It makes no sense why a foreign nation is putting boots on the ground in another countries civil war. If they’re confident the tripoli gov is the legitimate gov arm them and let them conquer there country if they can’t theyre not the legitimate government.

Haftar is a Sisi wannabe and he has brought over mercenaries from all over the world. Erdogan picks his fights strategically. At the moment it’s only trainers and drones. And he has got Trump and Putin as allies.

He bypassed Greece, Cyprus, Israel and Egypt with one move. Russia is pro Haftar but they cant do anything because he has them by the balls in Syria
