I still can't believe Hodan Nalayah is dead :(

I figured he was Dhulabahante. Dhulos and Isaaq are the most racist, i mean qabilists who only marry each other, actively. Only Mjs are qaxboohs who marry from reer xamaar, to bantu, to sea shells.

Let me get this straight, Isaaq only marry each other but also marry out the most out of all Somalis. How is this possible?

Same , I really liked her attitude.

Sad say it but I don't think I will bother visiting Somalia anytime soon.

I have relatives who travel from Europe to Somalia. They spend few months there every year and some live there permanently. They have no complaint.

Some of you are either depressed or habitually pessimists. And some of you are out right mental whose last sanity ended in a clan conversation, so the only thing they remember is what clan to insult.

If you don't love Somalia, there are millions who live in it and love it, and thousands of diaspora Somalis who go back for a visit or relocated there for business. Life goes on and Somalia lives. No country is perfect including America where I live. I will oblige if you want violent crime statistics and homicides for each city.

Not cool to constantly express pessimistic views for a country your parents were born. Please refrain from unwarranted negative talk about Somalia. It is not normal. It says a lot about your mental state than any reality out there in Somalia. Fix your issues and depression. Fix your life in general. Unhappy people usually reflect their state of mind in their interactions with others.

Lay off the clan hatred that reduced you to insanity.

This can mean they are a little more sophisticated(open minded) than some other somali clans who live in isolation. Northern somalis are isolated. They had few options in relation to other clans. So if you look at their lineage, this is how they mixed through marriage:

Isaq- Gudabiirsi
Ciise-Gudabiirsi
Isaq-Dhulbhante
Dhulbahante - MJ
Dhulbahante - Sub clan of Cayr CAlled Fiqi Shinni
Isaq - One branch of Ogaden, Makahil/Jibriil
Isaq- Warsangeli

So it was NOT unusual to meet a somali from the north whose somali lineage went through this mixture. It is geographical in nature.

Same went for other somalis. Each region produced a mixture of somalis drawn from different clans who were neighbours geographically.

Other Common mixture used to be:

Sacad - MJ, Omar Mohamud
Sacad - Mareexaan
Sacad - Leelkase
Sacad - Wagardhac

Saleban - Mareexaan
Cayr - Mareexan

In Benadir

Abgaal- married themselves mostly. But also from Murusade.

Abgaal - Murursade

One branch called Wacaysle who inhabits central somalia intermarried with Habar Gidir.

Wacaysle - Sacad. The lineage of the famous poet Abshir Bacadle.

Every time I see her picture, I feel dread in my stomach. I never get fazed by the deaths of those I don't personally know but this one is different. This one hurts.

Same. I don’t get affected by celebrity deaths but this one gives me that pit of the stomach feeling too. I think for me it’s because it happening to someone who was visiting and kismayo of all places shows that it could happen to anyone.
