You're right, Somalia would have a population collapse and mass migration like never seen before if foreign aid were cut off completely.

At a certain point you have got to assess the situation around you and come to the realization that some drastic needs to be done or the story will keep repeating itself.

Instead, they will pray for rain, it won't rain for a month and when it finally does they are like 'look my prayer worked'.

What he said was clear cut kufr. Two years is an insult to not only Muslims but most importantly Allah SWT. He should receive the real punishment or otherwise those who gave him that ridiculous slap on the wrist have by default left Islam. But were they really part of Islam if they gave that insult of a punishment? This "professor" was belittling people who were praying to Allah for rain. He should have said let's pray to Allah for rain and pray to Allah to guide us to a solution. He didn't do that. He belittled Muslims. What is proper and just in our deen must be applied.

There was absolutely no reason for him to attack people for praying; he could've absolutely come up with a solution to curing droughts without going after the deen.

He is another one of those fake Muslims. I don't understand why we are not applying real Islam in our homeland. The place that is the easiest in the world to do so is our Somali lands so why is it not done? It doesn't make any sense.

I'm getting my insults out before Ramadan, sxb, don't mind me. Though you probaaably shouldn't have been so hostile as to refuse to give our brother the name of the city the young Aisha was from.


Also, some Islamic advise here, say Ramadan Mubarak instead of Ramadan Kareem--Kareem is one of names of our Creator (SWT). We should associate the name with none other than Him.

How are there even atheists in Somalia? Everyone's so religious there--I can understand it maybe in the West where that kind of thinking is the norm, but in Somalia?

Sxb, it’s Ramadan, focus on your stuff and let others be dealt by their god. There are constant killings, rapes and lootings back home, hunger, poverty, higher child mortality rates and is that what god is happy with? As we communicate here, tens of thousands of children and their mothers and grandparents are experiencing hunger, starvation and lack of access to proper medical care and for the love of your god and religion, why can’t you guys spend more effort in eradicating it. God will punish us atheists, you don’t need to behead us, help the Muslims who are starving and have nothing to eat this Ramadan.

I found an English translation of the first post to help anyone who's as bad at Somali as I am:

"Our tyrannical God, who doesn't care about the weakest of our people and doesn't give them the rain they asked for, despite being Muslims and asking him that over and over and prayed for, I strongly believe that it's because of the contempt he has for us and that he only wants to humiliate us and because he sees us weak people the he had defeated them.

While Europeans and Americans defeated him when they told him "To keep the rain to himself" and started making it artificially.

So, it's better for Somalis To stop praying for this stubborn God and throw his religion into the dustbin and start learning how to make rain by themselves as other developed people like Europeans and Americans did".

Umm... have you ever been? They really aren't as religious as western Somalis think they are.
