Which cost quite alot of money and they are subject to conditions by their providers. This can mean if Ethiopia is viewed as friendly and useful egypt will find it difficult to get more supplies.

That is simply untrue. Prior to the 2006 Invasion, which was requested by Abdullahi Yusuf, Ethiopia had never invaded or attacked Somalia in any way. It was actually Somalia that launched an invasion of Ethiopia in 1977.

If you actually knew about the history of the 1977 war, you would know that the invading Somali army had already occupied all of Zone 5. That wasn't enough for them and they marched towards Addis. They were defeated by an alliance of Ethiopian, Cuban and South Yemeni forces when they were 100 km outside of Ethiopia's capital.

Even if Somalia only invaded to capture Ethiopia's Zone 5, it would still be against international law and it wouldn't be recognized since it would be seized by force. Somalia has no business invading its neighbor and that lapse of judgment ultimately led to Somalia's demise.
