I really love this book and movie. I even did my last ever assignment for English Literature in Sixth Form on this book. I compared the dual identities of the Narrator and Tyler Durden in Fight Club to Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

I am an uber fan. And David Fincher is amazing. He is brilliant at adapting books into movies. If I ever wrote a novel I wanted to turn into a movie, he would be my dream director.

Never read the book. It's been on my list for a long ass time. I should get around to it one of these days.

Hop to it. It will give you a new found appreciation for the film. I read the book after watching the movie and the whole time I was reading it with Ed Norton's voice in my head. It's also better than the movie in the sense that it explains away a lot of the criticisms people have about the movie; that it's pretentious and didactic. And the ending is different and, in my opinion, is more congruent with the overall message of the story more in the book than the movie. Anyway, read it - it's a very quick read.
