Let me clear something up.
Yes, it’s haram for someone to go and call on the Nabi SAW to be an intermediate for them.
It’s is ignorance, this is a sin committed out of ignorance not defiance of Allah SWT.
Comparing it to devil worship is inaccurate because that is someone openly defying Allah SWT by prostrating to his enemy.
Someone that asks the prophet to make dua for them and goes to Medina to do so, is someone that has their heart in the right place but is misguided by mistakenly committing shirk.

This Salafis name is Abu Taymiyyah, hmmm… who was the first person in the history of the Ummah to condemn this righteous act of asking the Prophet (SAW) to make dua for him/her at his grave?

This Tawassul through Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wasallam) is Hassan (fair) in all conditions whether before his creation (i.e. him being sent to the world), after it (i.e. his death), also in this world and on Day of Judgment.

That is the Salafi in you speaking. It is a righteous act to ask the Prophet (SAW) to make dua for you at his grave, first person to condemn it was Ibn Taymiyyah who was jailed for his outrageous beliefs. However, he didn’t say it was shirk but bidah. It was MIAW the khawarij who killed thousands of Muslims labelled it shirk. Every madhab recommends it except Wahhabis and Ibn Taymiyyah.

Yes. I would. Although, confessedly, there is a Somali Sheikh with a comical face, he speaks with his eyes- i stick around for him. No skipping.
