My aunt dragged me to one party in a hotel before at the beach but it was almost exclusively older women. And they were just dancing and eating. l was just on my phone the whole time. Nothing entertaining happens here

It wasn’t habar only it was mostly habars. My aunt wanted to take us to see the new hotel my uncle was building on the beach then we went to get food at another hotel which had a haflad going on that she was invited to so we went in to see what parties in Somalia look like only to see old women dancing with men half their age and old women twerking on the DJ

Still a teenagers experience is very different to an adult. My lil cousin just came back after 3 months over there and he hated it tbh. Made life hell for his mother like many diaspora kids do smh

You need to go find diaspora friends, go to Summer Cafe, Rio or Gol Jaano, that's where they hang out.

There are also a lot of singers in town, like Ikran arale and Awale Adaan doing shows, go to one of those if you can.

Most my of my guys in Somalia are either in hargeisa or darusalam so nowhere near me. Where are those places tho I’ve been meaning to try out new food

Alhamdullilah we got a cool breeze and a good amount of sun. It’s been raining like crazy these past few weeks aswell

Definitely, you need to go check out Summer Cafe at night, amazing vibes. Gol Jaano has live music and a lot of diasporas. Rio Cafe has nice treats.

I usually only go places im familiar with like xamarweyne, yaaqshid, madino, cabdicaziiz etc

You have to know the right people I guess. Personally my family made the experience fun for me, but then again they are wild af.
