Puntland has gobols like Gardafu and Karkaar because of the distances in Bari, they are not gobols in the 18 sense, but are for internal administrative purposes.

Puntland is north Mudug, Nugaal, Bari, Badhan, half of Ceerigabo, Sool minus Caynaba and Buhoodle district. Puntland has only 2 full gobols. Its claims are based on clan and not on boundaries from the previous government or the colonial era.

I agree that Puntland should have specified the Gaalkacyo district in more detail, however they don't claim Hawiye degaans whereas galmudug blatantly claims entire Mudug. Once you take Galmudug towns out of you constitution then you can ask Galmudug to reconsider their border. Until then you have no case.

So the story behind Gaas coming to the inauguration started during the conference in Mogadishu, there was a side meeting in Xamar were he met influential elders from southern Gaalkacayo asking for a peace plan.

He was asked whether this is genuine or the same old tricks as last time and Gaas said he was genuine, he was then told to prove this by going to Xaaf inauguration if he truly is serious about peace which Xaaf already spoke off when he got elected, which he did, which lead to what you see.

For this he deserves great credit no doubt and he received a great welcome, let's hope this time it holds.

Let them work for peace and development. We take over every state from where they leave it and move forward. Imagine if they went to war with one another? that would weaken the Somali Federal Government which these two communities are party to.

As long as they don't mess around with the sanctity of our sovereign nation by inviting enemies, or engage in any subterfuge, they can kiss and hold hands.
