Would you still support Somali independence if Ethiopia was an Islamic state?

Let’s just say hypothetically Ethiopia becomes an Islamic state and the Muslims are the dominant ruling elites and the Shariah governs the country, would you still support the independence of the Somali region?

Personally I wouldn’t since my political views are loyal to Islam.

Honestly, I think Ethiopian history is cool and the people are chill. I wouldn't mind some sort of trading pact if the government wasn't all about destabilizing Somalia.. if they give Somali galbeed back then all of the beef would be squashed. but Somali regions should always remain independent.

I’m pragmatic and my political views are whatever is in the best interests of Islam. I would only support independence if Somalis were a tiny Muslim minority being ruled and discriminated/persecuted by the Non-Muslim majority like the case with the Uyghurs in China and other parts of the world but Ethiopian Muslims are not really a minority so I would support a coalition of Muslim ethnic groups to take over the country and implement Islamic law.

Ethiopia was Christian before Islam even existed.
Their Christian king gave the ashaba refuge and Islam wouldn't exist today with their help.

They're not going to implement Islamic law anytime soon or probably ever. They've resisted it since the inception of Islam.

Modern day Ethiopia is both Christian and Muslim. I’m speaking theoretically, and their consent to implementing Islamic law is irrelevant. If the Muslims unite and takeover completely then that’s all that matters. Islam is a religion of expansion and Muslims should take the opportunity at any chance.

Deen over dunya, I wouldn’t support somali independence. Also be honest, there’s no Somali unity, patriotism, somalinimo, nationalism etc. Somalis put qabilism first. There’s only one way to cure qabilism, development, education, jobs and full sharia law.

Do you actually think Muslim countries particularly Somalia, is following the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad PBUH and the Quran properly? All the fighting etc is due to the illness called qabilism, no jobs, no security, lack of iman, desires, attachment of the dunya etc. I guarantee you if Somalis put qabilism to the side, and actually take islam seriously, Somalia would improve a lot. Same goes to other Muslims countries. Just because they’re Muslim country doesn’t mean they follow Islamic principles.
