Sorry dude, marrying your cousin is not Sunnah. It is a choice you make which is legal since it is not mentioned in the list of forbidden relatives you can not marry in the Quran. Beyond that, you need to bring your evidence to label cousin marriage as Sunnah. It is rather culture and I am Somali, so I am keeping mine and marry a bit distant woman from me in lineage.
Go research what sunnah means. Bring your evidence kulahaa :pachah1:

No, zaynab situation was unique and had message behind which was adopted kids are not like biological kids in sense they can not take your last name.

Thanks for shedding light on the lessons of that marriage. This is more plausible than the cousin evidence as Sunnah.

Actually cousin marriage can have protective function by passing on the good genes.

The west overrates the risks of cousin marriages. Drinking during pregnancy and using drugs are far more riskier.

Aryanism.com... No surprise the Germans are the only Europeans who don't shun cousin marriages..

Kulahaa some good genes to pass. Soomaali lee ma tihiinoo saxib?

Then we are on agreement. I saw what you did with your heart-felt defense of first cousin marriage. You have no problem with it is the key confession. But it ain't Sunnah, a choice Muslims have. Big difference.

If earlier Muslims saw it as Sunnah, then it would become the norm in almost every community that accepted Islam. Nothing like that happened. Middle east culture waaye and now they take measures to educate people about the health risks of marrying too much within the family.

I'm sorry but I'm in love with @Sovereign-Reiko :banderas:

I don't know what it is but she's so alluring confident intelligent loyal may Allah make her my wife:rejoice:

She reminds me of Minnie ripperton

You know back in my school days the kids would make you feel like you were either gay or inferior if a girl expressed that kind of feeling towards you.
Well now that I'm older and no girl is expressing the same feelings towards me (as our Minnie ripperton ) any more I feel like I should've been more forceful with them teens. Alas now I must focus on macking the 25-35 year olds.

All bullshit aside the song choice was good, and if by god You don't Pull Sovereign Reiko sxb,:kodaksmiley:

or If she does not become reasonable some how :birdman:

She just sent me a pm saying that if I @ her again she will report me to the moderator, rejection is a mofo:ohlord:

But on the bright side I have more cousins and as the saying goes at first you don't succeed try try again:superman:

On a serious note folks stay away from cousin marriages (first/second cousins).

You shouldn't use someones picture like that, what if she sees this? It's very mean.

Pakistanis in Britain, around 50% of whom marry a first cousin, are 13 times more likely to produce children with genetic disorders than the general population. While Pakistanis in Britain account for three per cent of the births in this country, they are responsible for 33 per cent of the 15,000 to 20,000 children born each year with genetic defects. The cost to the NHS of treating these people is estimated at £2 billion a year (2004 figures).

50%??? Thank God this isn't a Somali thing.

South Korea used to ban anyone marrying from the same region or who had the same last name.

You can't marry 1st-3rd cousins over there.

The risk is very low.

The only reason why birth defects are common in Asians is that they do it over many generations. Even then, it's still relatively uncommon.

Cousin marriages aren't common in our culture and it's okay to do it very occasionally.
