I agree so much. There is a sheikh that thinks hijab should be based on location. A hijabi in Alabama is going to get more attention than a white woman in a tanktop and ignorant cadaans are going to bother her. wearing hijab in the west is like having a target on your back

the closest word is "khimar" which can apply to any clothing including a dress or drapes so I see why you say that. there is actually a hadith about Umar and the prophet. Apparently he was spying on Sauda(one of the prophets wives) while she was using the suuli and then later asked for women to "cover up"

That could just be his own advice tbh. The prophet saw once told farmers to rely on Allah for sustenance and they stoped doing to much which caused their crops to fail. He told them later that they should’ve known better and at the same time have tawakul of Allah

There's 4billion women in this world, not wearing hijab just works against you in finding a decent Muslim spouse. You might get one of those womanizing modern ones though.
