Would you allow your wife to go to a mixed gym?

Women are the weaker sex, men are responsible for the safety of their wives, i will not be able to sleep knowing my wife could have been given unwanted attention and even have been flirted with without me doing something drastic hence why i would provide something for her. Women can be raped hello??? Try raping a man as a women.

I agree that men need to be protective of wives, but I think this is being overprotective and ironically reducing overall safety. Most sexual assaults actually happen from close relatives, not strangers:

Arguably, the risk of sexual assault/rape is quite low in a gym. Since there are lots of people in a gym, someone can't really rape someone unnoticed. Only time a gym would be a risky location is if it's some extremely desolate gym that nobody goes to and a female may be alone with a male with nobody else around. Large gym chains usually have tons of people during the day, so this is almost never a concern.

Plus, Somali females typically are already wearing hijab/less revealing clothing than others, already putting them at less of a chance of being "flirted with" or asked out since they are visibly Muslim. People usually mind their business in the gym anyways, but in the rare case they are asked out they can just say no or they are married. Your wife could be asked out anywhere, in the grocery store, on the street, etc, and if you can't trust your wife to say no that means your relationship probably has severe trust issues. The risk of sexual assault in a gym is likely much less than the risk of reduced life expectancy due to not leading a healthy lifestyle, and in your misguided sense of safety you'd be ironically reducing a woman's safety health wise by restricting her from going to mixed gyms since there are rarely/not any women only gyms in the west. If your wife sits all day without exercising, she'd be at much greater risk of obesity, and reduced muscle mass contributing to chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, diabetes.

If my wife insists on visiting a gym full of trannies than she can f off because shes divorced
??? This seems like an extreme paranoia of a female going to a women's gym. It's probably highly unlikely to happen, even if the gym isn't good at restricting them. There's a lot of things you need to fear before this.

Besides cardio, most women do useless exercises in the gym anyway that won't yield good results. If you're not gonna be lifting for hypertrophy then don't bother coming to the gym and do your cardio in natural environment.
I think there are legitimate reasons to go to the gym even if its just for cardio. Yes, it is probably better to do cardio outside than inside in a gym. But it can oftentimes be rainy, or in the case in MN snowy where it is not possible to exercise outside, so its not possible to always get enough exercise outside depending on where you live.

I'm a male, not a female, so take my word with a grain of salt. But I think it would also be useful for females to lift weights as well. It isn't necessarily just for men, lifting weights will come with benefits.

Doctors, for example, recommend that people lift weight, male or female. Mayo Clinic states that "Lean muscle mass naturally diminishes with age." and bodybuilding to keep muscle mass will prevent chronic disease, and keep bones strong. Additionally, lifting weights do not make women appear masculine as long as they do not take steroids:

"Masculinization in females does not occur as a result of [heavy] weight training, but rather because of the excess of androgenic hormones (i.e. testosterone) coupled with the correct stimulus for muscle growth (i.e. chronic resistance training and diet directed at muscle growth).

The stereotype image of the female bodybuilder in the media is a result of said females chronically using androgenic compounds (i.e. steroids) in order to increase their muscle mass and size. For the female who is not doing this, they can lift as hard and as heavy as they want, and will come nowhere close to 'looking like a man.'" Source: bodybuilding.com

Tbh, the main concern I would have wouldn't be rape necessarily, but her awrah being displayed, whether she knows it; or not, thats whats the root of this. Even if she's wearing full jilbaab niqaab everything, whilst working out she will be exposed. And besides sweating and groaning and getting sweaty whilst lifting weights in a gym where men are the majority isn't very feminine, and I doubt the prophet would have been fine with his wives doing this today. Also, I would argue that today I. This world, Muslim men are not nearly as protective of their women as they should, Infact the early Muslim tradition when a woman was newly married, she wouldn't normally leave her house, unless she was with her husband. So men not being protective enough today is a bigger problem then them being too protective.

sexual assualt especially in the west is low, compared to other places, most women feel comfortable to be around men bc they know the chance of SA is low, especially in gyms with cctv etc, also other men around,

also I think men being overprotective has nothing to do with SA of women by close relatives,
in fact SA your wife is the opposite of protective, it just happens with men of a certain mentality who think they can do what they want with women, and also have 0 understanding of how women work

I did lying leg curl a week ago and got injured so bad I struggled making ruku for salah. Did some research on it and apparently seated leg curls are far more effective and less prone to injuries than lying leg curls.

Yeah do your stretches abaayo don't want to see you injured :it0tdo8:

Also thanks for the rep & sets listed, its exactly what I needed. I'm proud of you wallahi, inshAllah I'll keep you updated on my progress in the gym too. I haven't eclipsed a year consistent in the gym but I have been consistent for the past few months. Protein intake is also not where it needs to be and I'm working on that.
So you're supposedly a man when you go to the gym you only do "leg curls" to work on your thighs. You have to be a Xalimo larping.

This reminded me there are a couple of Xalimos at my gym. Whenever I turn up they start putting their sweaters around their waist and if I need something from the room their at they leave and go to a different one. They can't train around a Faarax and have to a cover up but it's ait around ajnabi :damn:
That is sick. You can't trust Western Xalimos.
