Would Somaliland accept to give up Sool, Sanaag and CAYN

Question to somalilanders.
Would you accept this deal? : somalia offers immediate recognition of Somaliland ( which means immediate international recognition ) in exchange for Darood inhabited areas in Sool, Sanaag and Cayn which will keep being part of Somalia.
Question to somalis from somalia, would agree to recognize SL in exchange for sool, sanaag and cayn?

This proposal has pros and cons.
PROS for landers: SL will gain immediate international recognition because somalia will give up it's claim on it
CONS for landers: SL will lose some territory but it's inhabited by people who mostly reject separatism

PROS for Somalia: somalia will solve the Somaliland question once and for all, isaaq leaders never liked unionism anyway

CONS: recognizing Somaliland even without SSC will be the death of the somaliweyn project and could encourage others like Puntland to declare independence

how is Puntland able to control buuhoodle and Somaliland able to control Laascaanod?. when i looked the map, it doesn't make sense. someone answer this question.

Buhoodle is basically it's own thing, not really controlled by PL.
Las canood is unfortunately still under lander occupation

i mean when you look the map, buuhoodle is near where Somaliland has full control and Laascaanod is near where Puntland has full control.

Somaliland legally can't let go those territories because daroods played a huge role for the foundation of Somaliland and we have their politicians and elders in Hargeisa

buuhoodle isn't fully controlled by PL is more of independent city where locals govern themselves

how is it easy for Somaliland to control Laascaanood but not Buuhoodle?. buuhoodle is in Togdheer.
Dhulbahante elders and politicians allowed SL to enter the city and come back to somaliland after they left it for PL. Buuhoodle city residents refused SL presence in the city and SL administration can't forcefully take a city against the people's will

Somaliland is a state in Somalia

Impossible now that Somaliland has persisted in claiming to be the successor of British Somaliland for over 30 years. They cannot turn back now to a clan claim to secession without losing all the built up political capital.

It is a catch-22:

1- In order for Somaliland to secede legally it has to be based on the borders of the British protectorate.

2-A Somaliland based on the British protectorate's borders will not gain recognition because it will be seen as unstable due to the presence of a large opposing population.

Many in Somaliland would be willing to accept secession without Darood lands, but they don't want to talk about that because it would weaken their hand in future negotiations. The problem is that there simply is not enough time before demographic realities change the facts on the ground. Somalia's FGS is incompetent and unable to reach any consistent decision about what is an acceptable outcome. By the time the FGS has decided to become serious about negotiations, the pro-secession majority will be significantly smaller than it is today, and may even slip to being just a plurality.

Dont count on the majority/plurality community of SomaliaItaliana to argue about Badhan and easternSool. Dont believe in Daaroodist fantasies that the Samaale/Irir majority will let go of Samaale territory in westernAwdal but not Jabarti territories in easternSool or Badhan. Isaaq will reunite and bring their Jabarti minority, or the entirety of the Isaaq majority state gets recognized by Somalia Italiana, including the Jabarti/Samaale minorities in the peripheral regions of JSL

I repeat dont hold your breath waiting for Isaaq and Irir to worry about the status of northernJabarti minorities

The defeated easternSool community signed up for separation in 1991 after the battle of QoodheTaag. A few southernJabartis like the @Thegoodshepherd mistakenly believe that the status of northernJabarti minority is a stumbling block in future negotiaions between Isaaq-majority-JSL and the Irir-majority-exSomaliaItaliana

Accepting this will he the end of all of us.

Independence movements will appear and will broke into small nations who can't defend themselves and Ethiopia and Kenya will conquer us.

It wouldn't just be death of greater somalia but the end of somali ethnicity as whole

You stay talking out of your ass. I seen you mention the Qoodhe taag incident a bunch of times but ignore the 200 reer Sanaag killed in ceerigabo afterwards and how you had to beg to get Naleye Ahmedโ€™s in peace talks but somehow reer Sool were defeated? Another time you folks say an HJ commander with reer Sool abti stopped SNM from attacking reer SSC, so which is which?

The peace terms were just to not have tribal wars in the north, if it was really on your terms you would of took weapons but you couldnโ€™t. So much for your โ€œtermsโ€

I will try to decrease my mentions of the last major battle leading upto the 1991 peace treaty that also declared gooni-isutaagga Wuqooyi

I think you and I agree that Wuqooyi, including easternSool, should reunite with Wanlaweyn

You don't make sense at all lol what demographics you talking about lol

The only way Somaliland would come back to the union is if there's a willing from Somalia's politician to change their political system and call for a national dialogue that will determine the new type of system of governance in the country that everyone in the nation agrees on cuz somaliland was never a part of the creation of federal system in xamar and doesn't recognize it and many somalis in the south don't even like the system.

If somali government agree that all states will share equal seats do you think that somaliland will rejoin somalia

I'd have to disagree with you on that, saaxiib.

What would Somaliland possibly gain by any change that Somalia's politician would/could make? Nothing, nada, zilch. There is nothing to be gained by ever thinking about reuniting with Konfuurians. Long before Afweyne came to power, they showed themselves to be underhanded, disingenuous and corrupt to the core. Hence why they were called Wanlaweyn for a reason. Cali Mahdi & the USC continued that tradition in going back on the agreement they had with the SNM. They cannot be trusted.

Somaliland has through blood, soil and sweat carved out a political system that works for us now. There is a lot of it that needs improving, but the Somaliland can and will work together to do that, as we've shown over the last 30 years. Upturning all that, for a pipedream that you can somehow ever agree with Konfuurians on anything ever again is suicidal thinking.
