He’s probably the most pro-Ethiopian president in Somali history
The khat trade is being lobbied for by Somalis in Kenya who make millions off it,im guessing many from his clanI guess for him it was a way to counter Kenyan “aggression”…
Anyways Farmaajo is the past, we now have a President is pro Kenyan/UAE who accepts Khat without getting anything in return.. which is stupid imo….
Politicians from other countries look at their own nations interest while we have a president who looks after the interests of a few people. The khat trade is being lobbied for by Somalis in Kenya who make millions off it,im guessing many from his clan
He was going to do that anyways with or without Ethiopian support lol.Because he wanted their support for his war against FMS’ and his re-election
There was no chance of forcing QQ’s and Laftagareen without Ethiopian troops. Literally took shooting up people to make it happen. Nothing to do with Kenya. He tried with Madoobe but he was backed by Kenya sure.He was going to do that anyways with or without Ethiopian support lol.
It’s obvious he was trying to counter Kenyan influence with Ethiopian waa jug jug Meeshaada jog zero sum game.
Yeah, Ethiopian Troops also helped Guudlaawe into Beledweyne lol. There was no chance of forcing QQ’s and Laftagareen without Ethiopian troops. Literally took shooting up people to make it happen. Nothing to do with Kenya. He tried with Madoobe but he was backed by Kenya sure.
Odowaa was going to win Galmudug and Roobow KG.

I don’t know what hat Farmaajo gained from Ethiopia…

Partly due to ideological reasons. Both Ethiopia and Somalia are federal countries, likewise are Abiy and Farmajo rather centralist. I guess both of them were fighting to infringe on the federal regions/member states as much as possible, by using all means possible. Even Isaias is far up in Ethiopian business now, to the point of wanting to abolish the federalism. At least ethnic federalism. He's centralist too. That's how the tripartite alliance came about, in m opinion.
The amount of influence Kenya has in kismaayo is disgustingThere was no chance of forcing QQ’s and Laftagareen without Ethiopian troops. Literally took shooting up people to make it happen. Nothing to do with Kenya. He tried with Madoobe but he was backed by Kenya sure.

This nation will never prosper. It’s absolutely disgusting.
I wish we had a paul kagame in Somalia and the regions. Our leaders cant separate personal interest and federal or regional interest, it must be generational issue or maybe a curse left from Siyad Barre era. No-one will respect a leader caring for himself or a 'few', it's the ones who leave behind their nation something better that get remembered, honored by locals while the world all honor n rush to invite them to get their advice. No-one will ever do that for personal interest leader. So im suprised by somali leaders who don't know this especially at their age.
qoorqoor yea because Djibouti and Ethiopian amisom were in dhusamareb for back up. He used Haramacad for the fight to bring in qorqor though. Hirshabele is like a , guy with the money just takes it and it happened to be fahad Yasin with Qatar.Did Farmaajo use Ethiopian soldiers to force Gudlawe and QQ in to office? That’s crazy
How was that even justified?
For someone like Paul Kagame to arise, all corrupt politicians and dissidents have to be killed as soon this Kagame-like figure takes power. Paul Kagame is Isaias Afwerki without sanctions, he has arrested, killed and exiled most of his opposition. Kagame is a smart guy and knows how to use the west to his benefit without causing too much attention to be focus on what he's done. He also spends money lobbying western politicians for his nations benefit.I wish we had a paul kagame in Somalia and the regions. Even if we had such a leader would people accept him if he ain’t from the same qabil as them? For someone like Paul Kagame to arise, all corrupt politicians and dissidents have to be killed as soon this Kagame-like figure takes power. Kagame reminds me of a benevolent dictator like Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore who transformed his Singapore with FORCE from a third world colonized country with ethnic and religious tensions into one of the best countries on earth. This why I think the western version of "democracy" does not work in Somalia or for Somalis. You need someone who will mobilize and do ANYTHING that is needed to fix Somalia and make it into a independent sovereign state, free of UAE and Ethiopian influence.
That's an issue, this leader would need to bride all the clan elders or something until 2-3 generations pass by and all grievances do not exist with the remaining generations. Clan elders are the ones who have the real power in Somalia but most don't use their power, they just get paid by politicians then tell people to vote/support whoever that paid them.Even if we had such a leader would people accept him if he ain’t from the same qabil as them?
