I dunno about the cold climes. I'd say the best environment is Mediterranean. That's roughly where the first civilizations surfaced and thrived. Those niggas really had all the cards before modern tech and early modern era innovations with agriculture. None of the tropical diseases and stuff like tsetse fly in Africa to their south and none of the chills of winter and general frigidity to their north nor the aridity of places like the Sahara with some rivers like the Nile and Tigres/Euphrates and steady rainfall. Perfect conditions. Both Caliphal Arabs and the Greco-Romans had similar views on climate as well like that cold climes created savage, uncivilized peoples who were, to their credit, good warriors.

And spot-on about Somalis. African and Asian countries tend to lack welfare and a pathway to citizenship so Somalis in these parts simply have to work for their keep. They also don't tolerate even the slightest hint of criminality. You'd be deported years before you thought to form a gang so the wastemans get selected out and only laborers, skilled professionals and entrepreneurs remain.

I think he is on to something, but also made some mistakes. Sounds like this guy is from somewhere in Southeast Africa and is using the social habitus of Nairobi Kenyan Somalis and applies it to Western diaspora Somalis who have a different sub-culture, especially 2nd gen West diaspora Somalis.
