There are so many Somali mosques dotted in my city but none of them comes anywhere close to the programs that this one Arab/Pakis own/run.

The Arab/Pakis got so many activities that they now imitating shit gaalos do at their church’s such as providing counseling, yoga, summer camps and spiritual retreat (they go lounging in the wilderness)

In the meantime, the Somalis gave one single program, on a piece of paper they write down girls and guys who wanna get married and they attempt to match them. That’s all

They’re also good at never stop begging. Last Friday at the Quran the imam said “we short on $240k and we need it by the end of the month. We gonna go around and collect it. Who is brave enough to donate $500 that each month will be withdrawn from your account You can do it. Just do it cause god will multiply it more”. I didn’t raise my hand cause I kept saying to myself “you start first sir “:camby::camby::camby: kulahaa “just do it and it’ll multiply “. Yeah sure “Sheikh” why don’t you jump off a cliff cause you won’t die “

This is the same mosque that their video went viral last year where they were fighting based on qabiil and power

Odays have no ethics when it comes to managing money and providing service.

It’s the same with businesses where “Ciyaal Kacaan Customer Service” is in the sewers.

To crush Odays in business all you have to do is increase customer service by 1%.

The mosques close to my house are laid back and i love it. I feel constantly on edge in other mosques, like i don't belong there.

Well Those mosques co operate, budget, and plan activities together they don't see the Mosque as a business but as a place for bringing Muslims together

That's where Somalis fail everybody wants to be the head in charge and use the community for their own gains

Here in Sweden in one small town they have been saving up money for 10 years to build a mosque and what they have failed to tell people who have donated money is that they have been building a mosque with a mall that's right a mall

People from lower social classes with limited educational backgrounds tend to be dysfunctional and unable to cooperate or plan for the future. Somali refugees generally fall into this category. Very few Somalis are educated. The bulk of the community comes from a pastoral nomadic or low class backgrounds in Somalia, and they are unable to read or write. To make matters more difficult, Somalis have difficult and conflict prone personalities and show little deference to being led by those more qualified than they are. Every Somali man thinks he is as wise and worthy to lead as a king, even if he can't write his own name and drives an uber making $12 an hour.

In contrast, the Arab and South Asian communities tend to come from higher social backgrounds. Their trashy low class and uneducated compatriots never have a chance to migrate to the United States. Because non-refugee immigrants have to meet more stringent migration requirements, the majority of Arab and South Asian immigrants in the U.S are university educated, and work professional jobs, or are successful small merchants. Because they are better educated and more successful than Somalis, they have an easier time cooperating and running a civilized mosque.

I don't think the issue with Somali mosques, which is only one symptom of the much larger problem of the Somali diaspora's comprehensive dysfunction, will be resolved until the social condition of the Somalis is improved. There is no easy or obvious way of doing that. One big issue is that the way Somalis enter the U.S---refugee resettlement---does not filter out socially undesirable people, and in fact gives them a higher chances of being resettled while successful and educated Somalis are denied resettlement. Ending the refugee program, though some may find it cruel, may actually help Somalis already living here in the U.S by preventing more of our uneducated and backwards countrymen from flooding into this country and bolstering all the bad traits of our community, while eroding what little progress we've made.

Two different societies and histories Somalis have no foundation or aspirations to join the likes of arab/paki mosques so don't bother

I can’t speak for ur city

But masjid abubark in Seattle is really big with a basketball court and probably has more social activities for the youth than I can mention. They regularly go on field trips, camping, educational seminars etc.

:)

That sounds great, I don't think we have any mosques like that in the UK where they do activities like that. :nvjpqts:

Ugh, Masjid Abu Bakr is probably a text book example of a dysfunctional Somali msosque

-There's infighting and power struggles between the big one in Tukwilla and the smaller older one in South Seattle
-One of the imams is under criminal investigation for tax fraud and running over somebody fatally without insurance
-There's been problems with theft of masjid resources by one of "the brothers" at the big Tukwilla mosque
-Clan issues have led to a Somaliland mosque being opened at van asselt, also there are some hidden Darood-and Hawyie power struggles going on for leadership and resource positions
-Despite constantly fundraising for the past decade, the small Abu Bakr has never gotten a new paint job and looks tacky af
-There's been gang shootings and fightsat the Big Abu Bakr. Even the security guard was recently stabbed in the back. http://komonews.com/news/local/secu...center-stabbed-in-the-back-suspect-in-custody

Hey Islam,

I know Abubakr is not perfect but I know where we started off and how far we came since the early 2000’s.

There is no place safe from qabyaalad in our culture even mosques. As you may know, some people worship their qabiil first and then Allah. It’s always been like that.

Btw the Somaliland dugsi/mosque across from the holly park has been there for a long time way before tukwila masjid.

I have lived in the area long time ago, when the mosque use to be a casino and place was filled with gangsters, prostitutes, crackheads etc, crime in tukwila right now is not bad compared to the past.

Even with all the problems u have listed, Abubakr is a successful story and should be praised for all the work they have done. I am always amazed at the amount of young Somalis that are tied to the mosque and all their social activities.

:)

Hallelujah

When I say what this bloke above has articulated so well, alcoholics, former prison dwellers and salafis get so angry and call me a self-hater. Applause sir.:nvjpqts:

As for the mosque, Somalis worship their clans first and then, Islam. If prophet Mohamed is sent back to Somalia as a peace emissary from Allah and asks a clan to tanasul for another, he will be declared biased against the clan and they will turn to Jesus’ teachings. There are different Somali clan based mosques in Melbourne, but at the Lebanese mosques whether in sydney’s Lakemba or melbourne’s Preston mosque, they even pay more than the Lebanese for the upkeep of the mosques and the expenses for administration of the mosques. But all the activities are mainly utilised by non-Somalis. Caqliga Africans as one Somali guy once quipped.:ftw9nwa:

Maybe it's where you live since its the opposite where I live and people actually flock to our somali masjid since we do so much things compared to them not even allowing females an area to pray

Kinda sad that our mosques are seperared by ethnicity. Reminds me of Christians who have black and white churches etc :francis:
