Why dont Somalis Cook more seafood?

So why arent Somalis having more seafood in their diet ?

Interesting question that no one has an answer for yet.

I would've assumed anything that fed people would be saturated.

Maybe coastal communities were taxed to their necks by local Somali Sultans or Arab ships patrolling the neighborhood and made most people lose interest.

Also it probably also has to do with our disdain for anything that required manual labour. Tumaals were looked down on and couldn't marry into the main clans just because they worked on jobs we deemed as below us.

We could've had a totally different history if we fished a few centuries back.

No Portuguese or Omanis would've gotten past our ships and most of EA and even Madagascar would've been our playground .

First your username is Mercury ironic, Fish may be healthy, but it contains a lot of Mercury. You should always avoid the bigger once, the bigger the fish is the higher level mercury it contains.

Whenever we had kingdoms near Somali coastal populations. Doubt Arabs could ever charge tax to a large local Somali population but they could do whatever they want if they see a small village or community like the Benadiri without any larger clan backing them.

they need food technology courses to teach them how to cook this food and I agree they should eat this types of food more often than the bariis and baasto
