I’ve notice this aswell, the question now is how do we promote creativity the deen aspect imo is overrated and doesn’t practically work as well although it’s the most ideal option what other realistic and practical measures can we take to discourage this backwards mentality?I'm not sure about this but haven't you noticed dadkeen qarkood copy one another in everything. No originality in thoughts and ideas whether it be business, labis or online content.
We have a lot of deranged people that like to dig in xaaar and then talk about the xaar the found in there house and sort it in public. While all other people from different countries would just flush it.

I think the NGO disease, has unintentionally shaped a culture where airing internal community issues in public has become normalized. It's weird to realize that Egyptians, Sudanis, Ethiopians and Eritreans all have—in recent history—comparable FGM numbers to Somalis yet you pretty much never see one of them rambling about the practice to westerners or writing an English language book about it. Somalis really do like attention...

And these idiots believe sharing such harmful information about their country will make them look progressive in western eyes, but it rather the opposite. Sharing in not caringI think the NGO disease, has unintentionally shaped a culture where airing internal community issues in public has become normalized.
I don’t think I’ve seen her even bring up fgm prior to this. And these idiots believe sharing such harmful information about their country will make them look progressive in western eyes, but it rather the opposite. Sharing in not caring![]()
My uneducated opinion is we get in touch with our most authentic selves. Not healing from trauma stops people from going on this journey as it can be painful at first. Most aren't even aware of their condition. This journey is unique for everyone.I’ve notice this aswell, the question now is how do we promote creativity the deen aspect imo is overrated and doesn’t practically work as well although it’s the most ideal option what other realistic and practical measures can we take to discourage this backwards mentality?

the exploiting of ones own trauma to win a competition is so bizarre but yh ”activism”
I'm also not saying she did not go through pain. But the way she spoke was so pretentious, it was crazy. At least if you're going to do the trauma dump, say it like you mean it. You feel me? She talks like she's performing. No, he's right. It makes absolutely no sense to ramble about this to a room full of cadaans (if that is what she is doing) who will do literally nothing about it but use it as ammunition to paint Somalis in a poor light in their cunsuri circles and agendas.
Shine a light on it in Somali circles and partake in activism within the community to put a complete stop to it. But this... it kinda just reads as sympathy farming with foreigners at the expense of your community.

Not saying she did not go through pain, again, but..

She looks like she held back a laugh before she cried, dawg. This is peak narcissism. And I hate how Somalis are maximizing this lately. We're less people of substance and more of looks and vein shit. Like spewing trauma on the fakest platform, fake crying, giving hug to an cadaan woman who looked like she worked 10 years for UNICEF, trying to make up for harm done by a husband who worked for the Bush administration or something, yet still support the imperialist machine while feeling good rubbing bald headed children in Malawi-- type beat.![]()
Now I know why you're an cadaan republicanist. You watch that cartoon. Watch Futurama or something.its her war story
More “stereotypes”? Have you been through fgm unfortunately not a stereotype is part of somali tradition that people still follow till this day and needs to be abolished. You’re a siko.yeah , crying to cadaans is totally gonna solve the problem ....giving us more stereotypes. If she wanted change, she'd speak in Somali to a Somali audience
its 100% sympathy fishing so she can win - but hey, if she actually wins, I'm not mad![]()

It doesn’t matter what platform she’s speaking on in fact that TikTok got more likes and engagement than the somali women on stage. I’ve seen some speeches aswell especially on ted talks that are non-somali. There’s nothing wrong with a Somali women talking about her experience it’s one the most inhumane normalised practices to a vulnerable person that can’t even consent. I don’t think appropriate for you as a man to speak on behalf and input on topics like this. A lot of you think “ahhh she catering to cadaan begging for them for support” but notice some of the comments are Somalis saying their happy that she’s standing up for the girls?Tiktok? Are you for real? That's all you could dig up? Not an English language book or a prominent Egyptian, Habesha or what have you rambling about it at a large international event? That's what Somalis do and I don't see these other groups doing that. Though I'm happy to be proven wrong.
