Why do yemenis look pseudo ethiopian

South Yemenis are much closer to us than compared to the North. There are thousands of Somalis living in Aden the capital city of South Yemen today. South yemenis also are darker in skin color and have features similar to the Horn of Africa.
Aden during the colonial age was 1/3rd Somali.

I think you have it the wrong way round. It was the Ethiopians who conquered Yemen.
No it’s actually both
Didn’t the seabeans conquered the Horn of Africa as well ? That’s how they spread the Sham language?

And of course askum empire conquered Yemen I believe less then 20 years if I’m not mistaken

Kingdom of Axum (Modern day Eritrea and Northern Ethiopia) invaded Yemen in the 6th Century AD on the orders of the Byzantine Empire to liberate the Orthodox Christians being oppressed by the Yemeni Himyarite Jews. They packed them and made them all convert to Orthodoxy. I assume there would have been some offspring as a result of the invasion
Was askum under byzantine empire ????
Why was they ordered by them ?

Axum wasn’t under the Byzantines but both were Orthodox Christian so they asked (rather than ordered) for them to intervene in Yemen.
Are greeks and habeshas the same type of orthodox? Also did the habeshis separate from the coptic Church?

There are two “types” of Orthodox. Eastern (Greeks, Russians, Ukrainians etc) and Oriental (Coptic, Ethiopian, Eritrean, Armenian and a few Indians). Habesha Orthodox people follow the same denomination as the Copts in Egypt.

Theologically there is no real difference between the Eastern and Oriental churches but 1600 years ago there was a disagreement on the nature of Christ so they split. However more recently, they have come together and realised the difference is just semantical so they essentially believe the same thing. I doubt they will reunite however as one church must admit they were wrong first

cool. As Tigrinya are semetic, what do they think about the cushitc tribes like the sahos and. bilens? do they look down on them? marry them?
In Eritrea, you are Eritrean first and then your ethnic group second. The government back home stresses this so that there is no ethnic division like in Ethiopia. But yeah from what I know, no one looks down on any ethnic group. I have seen mixed ethnicity couples in Eritrea and marriage is dictated more by religion than ethnicity. If I were to bring an Orthodox Bilen girl to my parents to marry, there would be no issue

Pork isn’t forbidden technically in our religion. It’s just a cultural thing to not eat pork. I’d assume Copts and Middle Eastern Christians wouldn’t eat it either as they live in countries with Muslim majorities where it’s stigmatised
