I only complain cuz ts genuinely affecting my life like every cute little shop or cafe etc is shutting down to make room for trash ass Indian restauarants etc like? plenty of young somalis in the diaspora get along fine with Ethiopians. Most of the ones you see hating on Ethiopians are the ones that are fully aware of how horrible that country has been.

To add to my previous answer, like someone in this thread already mentioned, they helped aid colonisers against us and actually wanted to take a bigger chunk of Somalia which they thankfully didn’t get. They also invaded in 2006 when we were getting back on our feet which created a whole bunch of problems. And more recently, a lot of them pretend to be us so they don’t catch flack for their actual nationality/ethnicity like Johnny, a xabashi that fought in Russia who claimed to be Somali and many more of them online. Ethiopians hold 10 million Somalis in subjugation and humiliation. Somalia is the only country in Africa whose geographic center is in another country. Somalia's geographic center is the Marehan town of Neefkuceliye/Neefkuceshe in Doollo zone. It is insane that this is considered normal by many Somalis. Somalia with it's current borders is basically just the coastal strip of Somaliweyn.

For thousands of years they have waged religious wars on our people, tried to subjugate and rule our lands, claim our history, claim our culture, claim our lands. They have indiscriminately furthered the destruction of our nation, via proxy wars, they have killed 10s of thousands of innocent Somali civilians. For decades they have worked with outside entities to keep us in a perpetual state of disarray. Somalis don't really hate Ethiopians as a people. its the government that is disliked for obvious reasons. Ethiopia has been more or less been meddling with modern Somalia for over 60 years now, from backing various government opposition groups to even outright invading the country multiple times. They will literally spend resources and time keeping Somalia as fragmented as possible because they view a stable Somalia as an inherent threat.

And of course there is the issue of galbeed and the decades of economic and ethnic suppression happening there. Its baffling why a Somali like OP would be confused as to why other Somalis may take issue with Ethiopia beyond not knowing about the situation.
