This is a genuine question. like I have problems with Indians cuz of the way the flooded tf out of practically every country in the world

Indian fobs totally fucked i where I live and they are literally ALL I SEE when I go outside atp yall might think I’m exaggerating but I’m dead serious and it’s isolating and frustrating to deal with for a lot of reasons. I only complain cuz ts genuinely affecting my life like every cute little shop or cafe etc is shutting down to make room for trash ass Indian restauarants etc like? And I’m saying this as someone that LIKE Indian food! Plus these mfs so goddamn racist etc.

when I complain on somalispot yall be coming at my throat when there is a good amount of other somalispotters that trash Ethiopians just as much if not more than me and I’m surprised nobody calls that out… especially when yall hate Ethiopians just bc of what yall see online or what their government is doing which is not an actual representative of the entire culture or people

All the Ethiopians I meet irl (women) are extremely nice and sweet and so easy to befriend now for me personally the men are a different story and that’s because they be harassing me non stop. But I get along with fob and diaspora Ethiopian women extremely well

plenty of young somalis in the diaspora get along fine with Ethiopians. Most of the ones you see hating on Ethiopians are the ones that are fully aware of how horrible that country has been.

To add to my previous answer, like someone in this thread already mentioned, they helped aid colonisers against us and actually wanted to take a bigger chunk of Somalia which they thankfully didn’t get. They also invaded in 2006 when we were getting back on our feet which created a whole bunch of problems. And more recently, a lot of them pretend to be us so they don’t catch flack for their actual nationality/ethnicity like Johnny, a xabashi that fought in Russia who claimed to be Somali and many more of them online. People calling others oromo didn’t come out of nowhere.

Ethiopians hold 10 million Somalis in subjugation and humiliation. Somalia is the only country in Africa whose geographic center is in another country. Somalia's geographic center is the Marehan town of Neefkuceliye/Neefkuceshe in Doollo zone. It is insane that this is considered normal by many Somalis. Our ethnicity's heartland is held by a bunch of highlanders from 800 kms away!!

The reason most politically aware Somalis hate Ethiopia is because the Somali region, home to over 12 million Somalis, or around 40% of the entire Somali population in the Horn, is under Ethiopian sovereignty. As Thegoodshepherd mentioned, Somalia is also shaped very oddly because of this, the shortest distance between the two largest cities, Mogadishu and Hargeisa, requires you to travel through the Somali region of Ethiopia. Somalia with it's current borders is basically just the coastal strip of Somaliweyn.

There's also a bunch of issues that stem from the decades of hostility, we're talking a mountain's worth of human rights violations in the Somali Region, sustained Oromo expansion and cultural assimilation in Somali Galbeed, the 2006 Ethiopian invasion of Somalia, the ongoing Ethiopian military presence in Somalia, and Abiy Ahmed's ambitions for a coastline, accompanied by implicit threats of invasion and the Somaliland port deal that followed. All of this virtually guarantees that Somalia and Ethiopia won't have amicable relations for as the long as the current borders remain as they are.
