Reminds me of a recent run-in with some guy (non-Somali, apparently) who posts on this forum (
@Grant). He DM-ed me basically positing Somalis were not seafarers in the last 200 years and needed Arabians to get around or that if they did have larger seafaring vessels they must have been made by Arabians or something and has been spewing this sort of stuff for at least 2 years.

Sources gathered in just about 2 days or so from around the start of the 1800s to the early 1900s proving Somalis went everywhere from
Zanzibar to Mocha to Aden to Dubai to Sharjah to Muttrah and Muskat in the last 200 years with some other sources showing both the construction of fishing boats and sailing boats was going on locally as recently as the 1960s-1970s.
This xoolo tried to erase an entire subsection of Somali culture and history due, I assume, to some sort of contempt or bias toward Geeljires.
