Why do people seem to think that white people created LGBTQ or were the first ones to be accepting of it?

The West recently "started" to be more accepting of LGBTQ people but they were fairly behind many cultures that were accepting of homosexuality pre-colonization and still are. The Americas were colonized by puritanical people that wanted to get away from Elizabethan England and were very similar to modern day 'Salafis'. One of the notions of homosexuality somehow being unnatural and homosexuals being deviant originated in White Christians demonizing Native American people

-I assume it is only out of ignorance when some Muslims claim that someone is LGBTQ because of the West or because of the Western influence because they are mentally colonized and believe that everything note worthy was invented by white people.

In conclusion, it's because of Eurocentrism that many muslims seem to think white people created LGBTQ because cadaan(european) people are centered in almost everything so unless someone does research on their own it's hard to know from the general public that many cultures/kingdoms/people engaged in homosexual activity prior to the West and I am not speaking about Rome/Greece
