Why diaspora Somali youth can’t speak Somali

Yes and no because as they age they should grow an interest to learn their language, but they don't . Plus most Somali parents are analphabetical and can't even read or write. how can they teach?

That’s how I learnt Somali, I wasn’t allowed to speak Swedish home and my school in Sweden we used to have a Somali language course after school for free that helped a lot too.

My uncle was a teacher in 1 of them courses in Finland. All my younger relatives in Scandinavia all speak fluent somali. Its mad compared to the fish and chips lot
