I don't understand why there's so many Somalis who are obsessed with Arabs. Trying to act like them, dress like them, etc. When they never even been to the Middle East? I would understand it if you born in and grew up in the Carabta, so you'd have this type of connection with them.....but there are Somalis who were born and raised in Canada, America, UK, etc and never stepped foot in an Arab country and yet have this obsession with them and feel like Arabs are their brothers. I find this odd. They're such begs. I was born in Saudi Arabia, my father worked there for 40 years so I spent a lot my childhood in the Middle East , but I don't give a shit about Arabs. So why do they care?

As with all low level latent racism, it happens because of a lack in interaction. Many anti arab somalis tend to be folks who live in the west who never ever interacted with arabs in their lives. They sit and look for new arab bashing stories to reinforce their prejudices. Ironically same people always blame arabs for not helping them when the usual famine strikes the homeland. This inspite of arabs pouring millions of dollars over years.

But this is something not unique to somalis. I have seen asians as well. One guy i know said point blank that saudis are racist and look down upon asians. I told him that there was an incident few years back where an asian couple went to make umrah/hajj in saudi and they died in a taxi crash. Guess where the saudis buried them? In jannatul baqi. The resting place of many companions of the prophet. They didnt ship the bodies back to the UK. He went quiet after that.
The point is people hear stories, see stories, do not interact and the rest just follows

I've never really had bad experiences with Arabs in the west or middle east. The Saudis I'm friends with always showed me love. Arabs are generous people when you befriend them, way gacan furan yihiin. Except if you're dark skin or have negroid features
