Whenever these rich countries prattle on about "food-security" they mean that they have "iron-clad" deals with other countries regarding food imports to supplement their own agriculture. A lot of Somaliweyn's arid land can be converted into pretty rich pastures that can be used for livestock like camels, cattle, goats, sheep, chickens, quails, ducks and so forth. Giving Somalis a pretty massive supply of meat, dairy, poultry and eggs. With correct fishing practices our coastline can supply quite a massive amount of sea food to supplement this and a lot of our arable land while historically cultivated is under cultivated and can support millions more than it currently does.

We will be fine if folks run our land intelligently.

Somalis have a high population so this does explain our large urbanized population. However, I doubt that somalis are largely urbanized. Most of our people are at the countryside and in small tuulos. Also we have high fertility rate, which can also mean that the cities grew locally.

People are also forgetting about diaspora Somalis who number a few million. They will benefit Somaliweyn as a whole.

If Somalia can just build a functioning government, get rid of alshabab and unite the country, hold peace talks with somaliland, privatise the media and turn it into a propaganda machine with any indivisual on social media promoting anything political arrested then industrialise, invest in health care and natural resources, carry out various agricultural, fishing and relocation schemes, make qabil politics illegal and invest heavily in infrastructure and military whilst politically suppressing Ethiopian sovereignty over the Ogaden, taking advantage of their eventual civil war and making strong alliances, forcing an election in Djibouti where the president of Somalia also takes part in, achieving somaliweyn minus NFD (because we need NFD along with somali kenyans to carry out our next operation which is to conquer kenya and make it a somali majority country) and keep Ethiopia divided along ethnic lines, we can rule the horn as we would be quadrupole the size and 100 times richer and more powerful if this happens, ofcourse there’s one issue with this all. Not actually true as Gacanka and I showed. The population sizes are comparale. However I will grant you that when you compare how much land in km squared we have compared to Oromos it is indeed quite skewed that our numbers are as they are when we ought to outnumber them greatly. But yeah, most Somali lands are arid and not as well exploited as they can be hence our population size.

Nevertheless it is utterly ridiculous to ever call Somalis "lanbgaab". It is an insult to actual langaab ethnic groups like Hararis, Sidamos or Hadiyas.

Somalis are a single ethnic group but somehow we have some of the biggest most populated cities/towns in the horn

Rough list of the largest cities in the horn:

1)Addis Ababa- all Ethiopians
2)Mogadishu- exclusively somali
3)Hargeiso- exclusively somali
4)Adama/nazret- shared between oromo and amhara (two ethnic groups similar in size to us)
5)Asmera- all Eritreans
6)dir dhabe- shared between somali and oromo
7)Djibouti- exclusively somali



How did we manage to build urban areas much denser and more populated than neighbouring ethnic groups that are much larger than us, in this list 3 of the 7 biggest cities in the horn are exclusively somali and oneis over 50%, the rest are shared between other ethnic groups that are all similar in size to us

It’s because Somalis are more social and extroverted than other Horn Africans, that’s definitely one factor. Another factor could be jobs and opportunities are in the bigger cities. If you want to be a somebody you’ll have a harder time doing that in smaller rural cities.
