Why are Somalis so rude to their kids?

My mother is extremely kind too, but I've seen other parents be abusive to their kids both physically and verbally firsthand. I've heard them call their kids qashin, baastar, etc. very casually.

That's mad, yeah totally unacceptable.

There's parents that aren't nice to their kids just because you didn't experience it doesn't mean it doesn't exist and actually its not tough love if your own parent bodyshames you for being fat or calling you all kinda names

I had a balance of tough love from one parent and babying from the other.

My parents used to play Good cop bad cop on us,our mom was a violent and belt trigger happy while our dad never beat us but would somehow mom would send us to us after the ass whooping with SOB stories .

It isn’t exclusively a Somali problem but it should be addressed within the Somali community.

they (whites) do worse things, in fact asians do even worse. Asians are probably the most racist people on earth.

and Indhoyar is something casual, that's literally what makes asians unique. It's not a bad thing to have small eyes, it's just different.

As long as you don't repeat what your parents did and follow the deen then the problem will go away on its own.

True I haven't experienced or seen anyone experience abuse from their Somali parents. This is the first time I've heard about it.

This forum is too negative as well, 80% of what people post on this forum is something negative about our community.

It's what happens you have so many kids. Kids can get so annoying sometimes doing the same stupid shit again and again. So after 5 kids parents have no more energy or patience just shout and qeylo.
