We are not "Black" end of story.
So does black = bantu specifically or is it more broad than that? Maybe the archaic negroid right? Of course you're not going to say bantu because that would exclude much of black Africa. What about the Khoisan of South Africa are they not black to you? Even black Americans, many of whom have more non-African DNA than Somalis are still themselves black. Wanna know why? It's because to a large extent race is based on a social construct loosely rooted in biology.

I have a question for you. The similarities Somalis have with other black people. Skin colour, afro-style hair and the fact that we're from the same geographical area as these people; does it mean nothing at all? There's more genetic diversity in Africa than anywhere else on Earth so it's hardly a unique thing to argue that Somalis have their own unique genes.

These people don't look black to you?

Tbh its only sjw xalimos who are looking for brownie points from their twitter friends.
If dark skin was the only requirement for being black then why aren't darker skinned Indians, Bengalis or Sri Lankans considered black.

The term black was coined to give a label to the descendants of slaves who didn't know where they originated from.

Its like arguing why a Chinese person doesn't call himself white because the skin color is somewhat similar. Africa is so unique, it would be harmful to group everyone as black.

I made this statement based on the fact many Sahaba were described as being darker than even most Somalis.

In the Sahih hadith, you will find that Sayyiduna Bilal and Ali are described as having the same complexion- i.e. a very dark complexion.

The other historical evidence and accounts is well known to everyone. Even European colonialists spoke of the original people of the Middle East and said they were indistinguishable from the people of the Horn.

Oh yeah I'm aware of that, Bilal was described as a Xabashi though, so it's not exactly indicative that Arabs as a whole back then where midnight black skinned

Skin tone was only one of the qualities I've mentioned. If the similarities between Somalis and other blacks was limited only to skin tone you may easily just mark that off as simply a coincidence. But with the other features I've mentioned combined with skin tone it's starting to look less like a coincidence isn't it?

Following your example you mention the skin tone of a Chinese person is similar to that of a white person, but Chinese are not considered white. Well let's make it a more accurate analogy why don't we? What if China was also located in Europe? What if Chinese people also shared another unique feature found among white Europeans like maybe blond hair? (Afro style hair is something unique to black Africans and coincidentally enough Somalis also seem to have it). Not to mention a typical Somali looks a shit ton more like other blacks than Chinese people do white. As a matter of fact even looking at the lips of a Somali person it's full too. Similar to other black Africans. How strange...

We’re genetically closer to euroasians than to other africans. If you really think that Somalis have the same hair and lips as other Africans then there is no point even discussing this subject with you. You’re most likely the type of guy who begs it to black people.

Alhamdulilah we are Somali and not black.
I really think you look into the mirror seeing that coal black African face looking back at you believing you're anything other than what you are. It's almost sad that someone could be this out of touch with reality but I shouldn't be surprised. It's my fault for thinking theists ever cared about being in touch with reality.

I mentioned earlier already how Africa has more genetic diversity than anywhere else. Parading around genetic differences Somalis have from other Africans is a moot point considering how they have genetic differences between each other themselves. Or do you want to present yourself as being Eurasian? That's so special. So which group did you have in mind that you want to be associated with? Please don't say Arabs.

Look at the hair and lips of Somalis. Look at the hair and lips of people from the middle east. Look at the hair and lips from other black Africans. Tell me which of these three groups of people have those features looking the most different? I'll give you a hint, it's not the Somalis or other black Africans.

Let's talk about the phenotypical differences between Somalis and Eurasians. Why is it that the skin tone of Somalis is considerably darker than our long lost cousins? Why is the texture of our hair so different?

These people who love and are fighting to be called terms created by white slave owners are the lowest of the low. If you consider yourself black, your somalinimo is revoked.

This is all I see when the brainwashed sheep are arguing to be called slaves.

She got her reasons U filthy pagan i doubt u will call my mom a moron in my face
Don't worry too much. I think pagans are as superstitious and overall stupid as Muslims. And given the opportunity I would smack both your parents right across their faces for spreading their stupidity.

How adorable. You're so lost that in your puny rabbit brain you think being black is synonymous with being a slave. Accept yourself for what you are. You are a black African. It's written all over your body. Hopefully one day you'll snap out of it. But I really doubt it. It requires a bit of intellectual honesty and straightforward judgement. I suppose it's extra difficult when one associates blackness with being a slave. I should be fair, someone who thinks like that of course will hesitate to embrace that term for themselves. How could they? Why would they want to call themselves a slave?

Man, why can't we just be Somali for God's sake?

And yes I tick Other and write Somali

Let's overcome the conquered mentality and low group esteem.
You're both Somali and black. A Rwandan is also black and their respective ethnic group. It's a simple concept really.
