@Hades girl you should watch the show "the good place" on netflix. its about this woman who goes to heaven but shes not a good person. she belongs in hell. am not gonna spoil it but theres a "middle ground" place in the show.

there should be something between hell and heaven, a middle ground. its weird how you're either good or bad in religion.

In Islam there's a concept called Acraaf (somali spelling) which is basically an in-between for those who have just as many virtuous deeds as they have sins. There's a whole surah about it and Muslims would love to be among these people as they are eventually elevated by Allah's grace into Jannah.

ooh, that's interesting. I have never heard of this concept in Islam. which surah speaks about this and how is the place described?

It seems to be a mark of religiosity. You're promised something better than your current life and situation, and so you yearn for it. I know plenty of Christian Americans who're waiting for the world to end. Every few years or so there's some new End of World apocalypse date that they set :jaynerd: It's actually more dramatic than the way Muslims count down major and minor signs, etc.

Yeah, those evangelicals are crazy.

One of them came up to me and said that he could heal my broken arm with a verse from the Bible.:westbrookwtf:
That nigga was on some heavy drugs.

It's like you're observed atheists and flipped the script. There are many Muslims who fear death because they feel they haven't done enough good. However, the atheists I know(especially ex Muslims) are terrified of death. Fear of the unknown kicks in everytime death is mentioned around them.
Everyone is terrified of death

Strange. Why do you hear muslims say they'll go to hajj when they're older or they'll start praying tommorow. No one in their sane mind wants to die :ayaanswag:

oh I'll definitely have a good time here:damedamn:, since its the only time i have ill have to make the best of it. i don't believe in Jannah.

the reason i said that a good life was guaranteed is because the only Muslims who really want to die are the ones who know that they have a good imaan and that they have done everything right according to the Quraan. and if you've done everything right then you are going to Jannah.

but i do agree that theres no real way to know how the afterlife will be for you.

There is though. The people who end up in the middle eventually go to heaven anyway.
Some Muslims can even go to hell for a certain amount of time (equivalent to the severity of their sin) and also eventually go to heaven from what I have heard as well.
But its better to go straight to heaven, but its hard.
