Music is one of Gods most beautiful gifts for humanity. Music can be abused, but it is not haram.

Repent to Allah for you have committed a grave sin which is ascribing false thing to Allah and his messenger. That sin is huge and it's mentioned in the Quran:

The Prophet (PPUH) said : "There will be [at some future time] people from my Ummah who will seek to make lawful fornication, the wearing of silk, wine drinking and the use of musical instruments [ma'aazif]. Some people will stay at the side of the mountain and when their shepherd comes in the evening to ask them for his needs, they will say : 'Return to us tomorrow'. Then Allaah will destroy them during the night by causing the mountain to fall upon them, while He changes others into apes and swine. They will remain in such a state until the Day of Resurrection."

How does playing piano misleed me from the path of allaah.
It's not like modern music where a rapper is screaming nonsensical lyrics. I want to play the piano to refine and develop my brain, i see nothing wrong with that.

31:6 It doesn't say that music is haram, stop defiling the holy text.
