Americans hate taxes. Europeans raise taxes every year. Thats the diffrence.Anything viewed as Socialism is a big no no here.
It’s not like the gov is printing new money, this is cash that is currently already in the market, prices wouldn’t go up because then they wouldn’t be competitive, remember this is the US market system, those who jack up prices are committing suicide in business terms as those who don’t take up the whole marketBecause his $1000 a month proposal is a terrible idea. Landlords know that every single adult is receiving $1000 more so they jack up rent by $400 a month. Daycare centers know that every single adult is receiving $1000 more so they jack up prices by $200 a month. Health insurance companies know that every single adult is receiving $1000 more so they jack up health insurance by $200 a month. Universities know every single adult is receiving $1000 more so they jack up tuition by $200 a month.
There goes that $1000 a month. What you want are universal guarantees like free university, universal healthcare, universal childcare etc... never go for the cash always go for the safety net.

The thing is free money would be more enticing then free health care or educationInteresting, but you are right. 1000 is good on paper but as you said poeple will just up the price.
There is 232 million adults in usa if each one get 1000 per month then the total cost would be 2.8 trillion.
With that much money they can have free education and healthcare.

1000 a month passive income isn’t a little(especially for every adult household incomes would be higher), it fixes more than “free education” ever wouldBecause he’s a retard that’s why. $1000 ain’t gonna fix shit. And you know there’s something wrong with UBI when billionaires are advocating for it.
3 trillion is nothing in comparison to the problem(automation) honestly should have went 6 trillion and went 2k a month to start out, the added economic benefit would pay it off we can just borrow to kick start it though and add to the national debtI re done the maths man look at my edited reply
Its 2784 trillion
232 million x 1000 x 12 = 2784 trillion the chinaman is crazy

Inflation wouldn’t increase at all which is what your not understanding, there won’t be more dollars out there its just redistributing what’s already there, what your also not getting is we are moving away from the usefulness of work in general, in our lifetimes jobs will be obsolete as AI can do it much better, there are no downsides to UBI honestly, and 3 trillion is a drop of a bucket for the US in comparison to the problem2.784 trillion is a lot.
Chinaman is dreaming. Inflation would just go up and things would cost more. Less Bill's is better so free healthcare and education.
1000 a Month people will just move to the country buy cheap house and land and just sit on there lazy ass all day. This will effect the workforce.
No one would want to work for minimum wage or factory type jobs.
Imagine you and your wife getting 1000 each per month.
2k is more tyen enough to live in the middle of Alabama and have a nice house.
Look at corbyn. The majority hate socialism and giving money or freebies to poor folk or benefit scroungers. The idea of socialism would give many a heart attack.

I’ve told you this before, Americans trust corporations over government and why wouldn’t they? One is far more effective/democratic, government trust is at all time lows, UBI is different though as government isn’t involved to much, its universal so no need to focus on qualification, you can do what ever you want with it so no government checking on you and you can sell it to the masses of AmericansYet many of the social programs people enjoy from healthcare, social security, roads, public works are of social nature. Very crucial to a modern society.
The reason many are uplifted and have a middle class life unlike the old days where people either were born in peasant life or from wealthy families is because of social programs.
The people who are aooposed to social equity are the smae people who rely and benefit from social programs.
Don't buy into the propaganda of welathy people who want to avoid their social responsibilities and tunr average person agaisnt government. Government benefits people in general and is an equalizer and people with wealth generally don't like that because no one will have to kiss thieir usless butt for anything.
There is nothing worse than a poor person carrying the bag for a rich greedy guy.
Those all suck though, public sector is preforming terribly and would do better private tbh, lets be honest private education is always better than public, this is due to market competition where the best product is made, I mean just look at private sector infrastructure like say Elon’s boring company versus the public infrastructure not only does it save money and reduces costs but also is better quality, as we’ve seen even in the case of rockets, more innovation happening at the private level than public nasaPubliuc Education
Public Healthcare
Infrastructure
Public institutions
A modern day society honestly does function on social programs. The centralization of wealth power like taxes so society can create opportunities for education and wealth through public works is how all modern countries with advanced economies succeeded.
I don't know where some of you went to school to learn, but it seems you lack common sense.
