Malaysia, Australia, India, Ethiopia, United States etc.

You are correct that the majority of Federal nations usually designate the capital as special federal territory. His point is that not all Federal nations do that, so Somalia would not be unique if Muqdisho became a FMS.

If you look at the reasons why those countries chose to designate their capital as part of unique federal territory not belonging to any specific state, I highly doubt you'll find the reason of placating the various ethnicities/groups listed them amongst them. That is rarely the consideration for that.
It is much more to do with not wanting a specific state in a Federal country all the advantages that comes with having the seat of government located in their territory. I think that would be a valid argument for doing the same with Muqdisho.

@Dharbaaxo Jin there is positives and negatives of having a region and capital, but by god will all the regions rise up that mogadishu enjoys states right and capital rights, they will all nullify mogadishu as the capital because it isn't distinct from any other city in the nation since it's a state. The federal government will be told to relocate to somewhere else that accomodate it and also know it's responsibilities has to be DISTINCT to other regions or else every region can claim capital, their will be nothing unique about mogadishu anymore.

Your telling half truth here. SSDF was reorganized after 1991 with General Mohamed Abshir and Abdullahi Yusuf. Their political ambitions for Somalia came to fruition (making somalia federal). USC turned guns on each other. The only thing they achieved was genocide and destroying our capital.
