Somalis who served the French got paid well for their service in which they invested that money back to their community.

you showed no evidence of them being payed and they had to go there because their british leader that ruled them told them to
The French army returnees came with money and ideas and put up new buildings and established irrigation, added the district commissioner. This initial investment led the increase in the number of farmsteads, from 50 to 350-400.
Nacas they volunteered in the French forces without any pressure and the British didn't rule us unlike how your forefathers under the Italians. We killed a British official in Burco during the Tax revolt that made the authorities abandon their tax proposal.

In early 1922 the Protectorate authorities announced that they would impose a heavy tax on the people of Burao and initiate a program of disarmament. This policy was proposed to raise much needed revenues to run the Somaliland Protectorate which was a net drain on Colonial Office coffers. As well to enhance British control in the interior of Somaliland after the Dervish War.

In the ensuing disturbances a shootout between the British and Burao residents broke out, Captain Allan Gibb, a Somaliland Campaign veteran and district commissioner, was shot and killed after the Camel Corps refused to fire on the rioters.

In light of the failure to peacefully implement taxation Governor Archer abandoned the policy altogether being a victory for the Somalis in the Protectorate.
