Xamar in 2014 is very different from Xamar 2021 saxib.

I have only spent one day in Xamar but I have to say there is a beauty to the city.

Even in its disarray and chaos, there is a hidden beauty.

It was only until the plane was about to land that I understood the Xamar cadeey nickname.

I could only imagine how it looked pre-1991.

Yeah it was safer for civilians and not so much for politicians and well off people. Now its the other way around.

Whenever I go to Somali restaurants and see the vintage pictures from the 70s and 80s sorrow overtakes me.

Dude the city right now is the most stable it's ever been. You get 1 bombing every 2 months or so.
