Its envy. Same reason their men salivate over women from the horn to the point where they make it a condition for fathers to marry off their horner daughters in order to be accepted by their society. So they wish they had the skin tone and features of women from the horn especially Somali women so their men could prefer them over yall. I've even seen some Ugandan women get offended when Somali women responded to their creepy "breeding" and "intermarrying" Horner women fantasies when the Somali women said they prefer not to marry out. It was a whole debate on the Ugandan subreddit before it got deleted by the mods because it was too creepy. They see lighter skin as superior. I also think this is the reason they love to target Somali men, because they believe we are gatekeeping our women from marrying them. Its a creepy rapist mentality. Akhas.

If you were really Somali, you'd know that phenotype is certainly not "new" or "alleged" in our people. You'd likely have a few siblings or cousins that look like that.

Exactly this. I'm so sick of the unfiltered racism, mockery, and shade they throw at us at every opportunity then claim our achievements as if it was a group project. Hypocrisy at its finest. For example, they're all over Yasmin Abdi's videos trying to claim it as "Black Excellence" or "African success" when they had no hand in the hardwork she put in to get to where she is today.
