Taxes aren't as bad in Canada as people are saying in this thread. It's pretty reasonable and there are a lot of credits and deductions you can claim to reduce your tax burden by a ton. Compared to the government services we get vs the taxes we pay, I'd say we're doing pretty well relative to most other countries.

If you decide Canada, move to Alberta. Stay away from Edmonton, horrible city. Calgary is a nice clean version and has a lot of jobs. Tax is at the lowest percentage in AB. You can make money there over living in other provinces. Stay away from Vancouver or the island, BC in general is extremely expensive. Ontario is shit, stay away from there as well. Not much in the prairies, so no need to look towards Sask or Manitoba.

Overall, minus the cold winters, Canada isn’t too bad. Health care is free and not much on waiting, service is good.

Jobs are there but it’s a little slow currently, a lot of people looking for jobs. I would recommend applying for jobs prior to moving. Get a work visa and work for a bit to see if you’d like it here.
