Lamagoodles originated in the north, while D&M originated in the south. I read this theory that both of them are descended from a proto-Somali population that lived in southern Ethiopia.
No Digil And Mirifle migrated via shabelle and jubba river to where they currently live, groups that were in south before them are like Eyle, Gawaawiin, Shiidle , Makanne , Kaboole etc and Maadanle, Maatire and their likes

d&m don't descend from the south, they entered the south in the 16th century after reer samaale and they are also lamagoodle
Their migration wasn't in one wave it was in multiple waves for example Tunnis and Jiidos came before Duubdheere, Mirifle, Bagadi, Jambalul,Caleemo, Dabarre etc

There were Samaales in south that were standalone in their time but now mostly in rahanweyn like cawrmale, dawle, hoon , malabsaay hiraab , marexan (not to be confused with darood) , maane and others

Tunni and Jiido. First tribes to settle in south especially jubooyinka and shabeeloyinka.
They were the first of digil but not the first people to settle there, sheekh eethin sheekh saciid has a video where he talks about ancient inhabitants of dooy region and south in general which preceded the maay and maxatiri speakers and were referred to as gaal madow he mentioned Maadanle, Maatiri, Matiiti , Maliki, Haftun and many others who don't exist as a standalone group either they were assimilated or migrated or died out

Yes ive heard about these ones.

I agree with @Garaad Awal. We entered th”Eritrea as proto Cushites roughly around early Middle Kingdom period or 1st intermediate period 2500 BCE as gash group. We stayed in these regions for some time. We eventually entered the Somali peninsula 1500 BCE.
